  • i think u need to move your mouse slower of less shaky of the mouse.. it gets quite dizzy to finish the video.

  • is final cut pro easyer than vegas pro? or its the same?

  • @dFazeD

Sony Vegas is easier plus it has alot more effects. :)

if you want something really awesome I suggest you use Adobe After Effects, but it takes a while to learn how to use it.

  • @ZombifyIt yeah thanks i know it now... :p beacuse i have parallels and the vegas fucked up when rendering so i have to use this program... but my vegas works not but still sometimes kinda fucked up, do u maybe know why?

  • @dFazeD maybe you need more RAM?

    Idk.. could be work memory..

  • @ZombifyIt ram? :p

  • YAY!!! I live in Brizzy!

  • can someone plz tell me how to get the visual sound wave things into the audio clip in the timeline???

  • Just google for Aries-Films and download over 300 tools for video and audiot editing for PC and MAC.. its like goldmine for videoeditors

  • 5 stars subbed

  • Nice, thanks for the help. Just wondering is there a way to put markers in the time line to the beat of the music sound track? I'm used to adobe and can't find this feature in final cut.

  • all i can say is Thanks for all your video and your time for making it .? Tamim

  • Nice one lad, really appreciate these vids. just gone through all of 'em today. I'm not a mac user but we are supposed to use final cut in college only the tutors haven't bothered to show us how to use it. keep up the good work.

  • Thanks. I appreciate you having watched them. I'm always surprised when anyone actually gets something out of them. I'm not a natural teacher of things. Still a bit unsure about it. :)

  • ooo i didnt know about the copy/paste attributes thing. thanks alot dude! goin to save a lotta time workin on my schoolproj tomorrow lol \m/

  • Yeah massive time saver that one. Thanks for the sub btw.

  • i have a question..

    i was just wondering ..

how yoo do that blur thing on the same clip.

so it'll maatch the beat ...

do yoo know what im talking about ?

    o__o

if yoo dont, watch some of the amvs on my favorite list.

  • Thank You I have gleamed somthing from this final cut lesson. stay Glued To U-Tube I'm Sure You Will Be Flabbergasted!!!

  • I'm a Mac user AND I'm Australian! We're practically the same person!

The tutorial's great!! So thanks for that.

How did you get the camera to zoom in and follow the cursor? I thought that was pretty cool.

  • Snapz Pro my friend. Love the program. Best screen capture stuff out there today I think. Good to see some more aussie mac users out there.

  • Hey I'm a recently switched mac user....well I run parallels so I'm in both worlds but I gotta say that your stuff is very helpful. Job Well Done and keep it coming if you can

  • Cheers fernando. Welcome to the dark side. ( Or is it the light side? )

  • I am a Mac person as well... we are watching and appreciate your input and guidance even though we dont bombard you with comments!

Keep up the good work...I enjoy watching this anyday compared with reading through a book.

  • I knew some of you were around somewhere. Thanks. :)

  • Another good episode of "The Editing Room" by DrLemur, Mac guru and editor and chief of the DrLemur channel. hehe

    Thanks Dan. :)

  • Good to see some more FCP vids havn't seen them in a long time!

Good as always, you are making my experience with FCP so much better ;)

  • You're so warm in your tutorials, most people edit theirs to all hell and it sounds like a robot.

    BTW: Mac person here.

  • I could pretend it's intentional but really I'm just too lazy to edit these or think about them :)

  • thanks .

    helpfull as always

  • i dont use a mac or FCP, but if i did, i'd find this very handy. Thanks doc.

  • Where are all the Mac people damnit! :P

  • Ahh sorry about that. I've mixed you in with the others who have asked this question of final cut. The only difference with the process in iMovie HD is that instead of using the razor tool as we do in FCP you cut the clip by going to "edit"//"split clip at playhead" and then use the "video FX" section of the "editing tab" to apply your effects. I'll send you my old video on imovie effects just in case you haven't caught the flow of it.

  • Good Feature to know. I would have been one of those fools who redo all the work. =]

    Thanks.

  • Every time I find out an easier way to do something when I've been doing a longer way for months and wasting my time I kick myself :)

  • Hello - I don't have a Mac or Final Effects Pro but I enjoy your tutorials all the same, they're easy listening and I always learn something that extends my creative horizon.

  • Some things are universal to many types of software so it might not be a total waste all the time. Cool of some of you PC people to watch anyway. :-)

  • Excuse me, I didn't say I was a "PC person" ... ! I use both a PC and Mac at work. Thinking of getting a Mac for home, but have a perfectly good Windows machine. Maybe my next computer ...

  • He he I just assumed because you said you didn't have a mac. Forgive me I'm such a mac snob :P
