@EvesArtAsylum Well this is what you do. Lay down a pattern or print where you want to do the effect. Next saturate the area with turpentine until you have a slight puddle. let it sit a couple minute to erode the paint layer under,( I painted a thin water coat of black down onto my pattern and then did this), then spray with the alcohol until you have the desired effect and let it dry.
@gusvortech I don't know if you could tell from the video but I had enough turpentine that it pooled in the ridges and areas where there were depressions. You want about a two millimeter puddle.
@gusvortech the way I do it is by saturating the area until I have a slight puddle. Then use the 90 percent alcohol in a small spray bottle. I find that big bottles don't mist as well and you need the mist to do it.
...i once did a similar work with building up white paint, grape vines and set it horizontally outside and let the bugs get stuck and let birds shit on it as well. looked great but alas, it was left behind....

Hey what are using to get that effect? I tried turpentine on an acrylic painting I'm working and it doesn't split it like yours does.. Pls help
