he was really depressed about his parents being killed in front of him when he was so young  even though he didn't show it on the outside which is what the whole episode is centered on how you never really know how someone is felling on the inside

i know this will sound wrong but in a way the episode would have been alot better if kal penn really had killed himself cause he alwasys seems like a really happy cheery guy just like kutner so the audience could relate with the remaining cast with the surprise and shock of how you never really know how people are feeling inside. not sayin he should kill himself i think he rocks btw
