i understand hating crony capitalism (crapitalism), i do too. people should succeed without gov't protection and special treatment. however, liberals seem to be motivated by jealousy of people who have done well. this i don't like. people should reap the benefits of their endeavours.

@USAGymnast I neither want nor need the wealth of others. I do, however, want others who are hard working but the cost of food, gas and rent exceeded their incomes to have a little of my wealth to hold them over until the can adjust. I also want the same for hard working people who are laid off until they find work and adjust. Sure, not everybody will need it and the majority of us will not. However, there are enough people like them who will need it.

well the reality is that there was lots of excessive consumption on many levels.....individuals bought more than they could afford and the government spent and taxed and borrowed more than it could afford....of course this doesn't mean we should have to be forced to NOT "over consume" but due to artificially low interest rates and government tinkering, we did over consume, and now we are paying the price..... consumption can only occur in a stable way if there is enough capital and savings

I live in Tucson, and there are PLENTY of Wealth-envy types here, and it seems like most of them are primary school teachers. I despise these people that I am forced to interact with and fight the non-stop brainwashing of our children every day.
