  • Great song.. Sean Hayes is the artist, check him out.

  • Awwww yeah this is powerful stuff !

  • nothing but awful jews drive subarus, just like volvos and saabs.... jews, hipsters, and the occasional wigger in a wrx. Fuck subaru.

  • Powerful stuff - Sean heyes

  • i thought i was the only one who thought that guy was cute! ^_^

  • I like this song, who sings it????

  • that dudes voice cracked like 5 times

  • Cant believe no one asked about the wife.

  • I'll never forget my red impreza.

  • The man in this commercial is great looking, nice eyes and a nice smile!!

  • WHO IS THE SINGER AND SONG OF THIS COMMERCIAL? EVERYONE IS RIGHT HE IS HOT, HOT, HOT

  • @foxxymoppy : Powerful Stuff: Sean Hayes.

  • whats this song?

  • Never forget that the old Subaru! :)

  • classic subaru was best drive any weather, but in the dirty and some snow road doesn't good, only heavy things, not a lights.

New subaru was not bad any weather to drive, only in winter was good drive and the dirty road.

  • in Cast the classic Subaru were is easy to drive and best handling to drive, because it can made u easy drive, is not very hard, the new cars is very hard to drive was not handling. you should know it, but there fore about the seat, they have a heat seat, only on a new subaru has, classic doesn't has. The classic subaru exterior was look good, interior not bad, new Subaru exterior not bad, interior was good.

  • I hate this commercial - comparing your car to a woman - seems more along the lines of a chevy macho thing--- shame on subaru.

  • @Spearsonrr3 haha! subaru best :D

  • @Spearsonrr3 derp?

  • I love this commercial! So cute!!! :)

  • @MegaBlackcat100 the song is Powerful Stuff by Sean Hayes

  • Makes me remember my first love who left me for being a dumbass

  • It's true. I'll always remember my first Subaru. So will my mechanic.

  • It's true, I'll always remember my first Subaru (neither will my mechanic).

  • So this commercial is about having sex with your car, right?

  • Cool, I graduated from Lincoln High in my town.

  • HAHAHAHA! WHAT AN AMAZING COMMERCIAL!

  • what is this song and guy that sings this!?

  • I sooo long this Comercial... ... Hey Jess ...Think about you sometimes... ... Bubba...

  • this commercial and the song bites big time. just exactly "what" is powerful stuff? hate it for the same reason why i have meatloaf's "I would do anything for.." because he never says what it is that he wouldn't do. the song blows and the commercial gives you ZERO reasons why I should want to buy it. the look of the car is generic and they dont even give MPGs, the first thing a car buyer needs to know nowadays. LAME. a madeup story is suppose to be the reason to buy? plays to the LCD

  • @BostonBear Dude How could u not see the reason?...The point was that this car lasts a very long time... U kinda really miss the point there. Everyone knows its not a V8 so safe to assume will be in the 18-25 MPG ball park...

  • Who is the guy actor in this commercial. He's freakin adorable and I want to know if he's been in anything else?!

  • @Jenifer1969, Isn’t he though! Whenever I hear the music start to this commercial I drop whatever I’m doing to go watch it. The look this guy gives her literally gives me goose bumps...and he’s so unbelievably hot!

  • The blonde sure looks like Jen Carfagno on the Weather Channel. If it isn't, they sure could pass as twin sisters. Wish there was a way to verify !

  • I swear this guy is the spitting image of Phil Keating, the reporter on FoxNews.

  • Song is called "Powerful Stuff" by Sean Hayes

  • I looked up this commercial just for the song! I love it!

  • song name?

  • this commercial is art

  • My parents just traded my Subaru SVX in without telling me...I'll never forget that car.

  • any one know the name of the blond?

  • First time I drove a Subaru, it was a 1986 wagon. I was very impressed by it's handling, and how easy it was to engage the clutch, compared to other cars I've driven. Great cars, all around, and the ultimate winter car.

  • very definitely not a high school reunion...look at the years of the cars and how old they are...

    That's a college 10 year.

  • @lorengraveschannel

Yeah they look old... but the sign does say "Welcome Lincoln High School Alumni"

  • @LittaGirl22 @lorengraveschannel the old cars was best driving, because old cars can made u easy to drive, wouldn't get too hard for you, for new car is heavy to driving. but when on winters, the seat it would be cold, because they don't have a heat, but knoe new cars have a heat on a seat. this car made in the Asia! :)

  • It is true. I will never forget my first Subaru. It saved my life twice. Amazing car!

  • @BrooklynEagle

It had to be at least 1997 because Subaru didn't make Foresters until '97.

  • @Gullickson07 In this case, it would actually be a '98, because that's when they began selling them in the United States. My parents had one, which they bought because they loved my Legacy so much.

At any rate, I've had similar flashbacks involving my Legacy and all the old friends who shared in the memories. We can't have a get together without a story that starts with "Remember when we took your Subaru..."

  • @mechanizeddeath the old subaru was look best design.. right?.. new one, is not bad, is just only interior and seat was a good.

  • i love my subaru forever!

  • @NCtarheels1213 Powerful Stuff by Sean Hayes

  • the song is fantastic! <3

  • Who is the cutie in this commercial?? He is fine!!

  • @renthead1976 He is on IMDB.com under Steven J Sims

  • @renthead1976 His name is Steve Sims :)

  • Well, since I am a history "buff", I have to ask. Because this droopy-ass commercial is on a lot right about now. :-) This dude is at his high-school reunion--so, which "class" was he exactly? Mid-90's? Late-90's? The better question would probably be, what is the exact year of the dark green SUV he looks at when he gets back to his crib? Looks about mid-90's to me. So I'd say he--and the Joey Lauren Adams (damn she is FINE!) look-alike--was Class of '95 or '96.

  • Another brilliant commercial from Subaru--truly "Powerful Stuff." The looks of recognition across the room between the guy and his former sweetheart set the stage for the line, "You never forget your first...Subaru!"

  • Another brilliant commercial from Subaru--truly "Powerful Stuff."

  • Anybody ever thought the actor in this commercial kinda looks like James Blunt-Musican who sings You're Beautiful? I've thought that not like a twin but kinda-I've had a bunch of people tell me "That guy kinda looks like James Blunt!"

  • So why did these High School sweet harts break up? Let them get back together

I'll take the guys little wife and the Subaru and live happily aver after

  • This is powerful stuff, all right. He comes into the reunion with his brunette wife and ends up with the blonde who came in with another guy. Is it just me or does anyone else think this was a tad strange?

  • @dyad2r1 No, no, no. He's with the brunette, and is remembering when he was with the blonde and his first Subaru. He goes home with his brunette, having sweet memories of his past.

  • @2helenahandbasket

You're right. If I'd clicked the "show more," I would have known. Thanks!

  • @dyad2r1

    no its a flash back

he sees his first girlfriend and goes back on the memories

  • @bubblemonster3

    Got it. Thanks.

  • I played this song for a girl, she fainted, then we dated for a year

  • Forget the Subaru. I'm 71 years old and I'm here to say that that young actor is HOT!

  • I came on here to find this song. Ty Ty! I have it now on my pod

  • Finally I Found This Song.! (:

  • Love this song... came on here to look for it LOL

  • I love this commercial. Granted the premise that it's the "car" you never forget is stupid, but that aside it's a great made commercial.

  • its Sean Hayes - Powerful Stuff

  • @sha0illy Thanks i was wandering that

  • @sha0illy Hey kinda sounds like Otis Redding

  • What is the song? can anyone tell me please?

  • @DanFProductions

Go buy a WRX. Trust me, I remember that car more than what/who I did in it.

  • Probably the most touching&wonderful commercial i've ever seen. & my favorite..♥ Whoever came up with this is pure genious & the song just completes it (:

  • Love it

  • This reminds me of my first love every time I even hear the commercial start. :) It's pretty good for making me feel something, you know?

  • The name of the song is Powerful Stuff by Sean Haynes

  • What's the name of this song..? It doesn't show up because I'm on my iPhone :(

  • I love the song and the message behind it. The class reunion was a good chose for the car.

  • Name of the person that this commercial reminds you of?

    I'll go first :)

    Steve <3 circa 1995

  • anyone else notice they are comparing a woman to a car? wrong

  • @Spashaei No,they are trying to cash in on the American connection to and sentimentality toward cars. There is a connection to a persons first car. How is it Revisited?, the reunion setting. How do I bring in emotion? the girl. The sublimenal is "If you buy a Subaru, you can Keep your first car - It Will STILL be running (The point of the commercial). They're also saying that the Guy,while remembering the girl he loved then is committed to his wife Now (appealing to the desired demographic).

  • @vytildie Glad to see other people can see through these commercials, as well.

  • @Spashaei Some of compare, if what women drive if drive too cool cars, like they fighting to the men fastest cars, just look like honda old civic, old skyline etc. Not on this subaru, is many different about.

  • Does anyone else think that the blonde looks at least 10 years older than the guy? Talk about a casting failure!

  • its true 2000 legacy gt

  • There was another commercial back in the late 70s early 80s that had a similar message as this and I am trying to find it. It starts out telling about how the great the new Subaru is as a guy drives through the snow, mud and forests and toward the end of the commercial he arrives home where in the driveway is another and older Subaru that looks very used but the message is that you remember your first Subaru and it keeps running.... or something like that.

  • anyone know what year that older subaru is?

  • I showed this to my mom, now we own a Subaru forester

  • This is the only commercial I like! :3

  • So love this commercial. I stop whatever I am doing when I hear that music. He is quite gorgeous and the eye connection is "powerful stuff!" Thanks, Subaru!

  • this 30 second commercial is better than most sappy love movies these days, Goodjob Subaru

  • just baught a 04, will never forget because ill never get rid of it

  • I love love love this commercial because of that wonderful song. The guy in the commercial is soooooooooooooo cute.

  • this makes me wanna buy a subaru

  • Lol whenever this commercial comes on ill start singing

  • love the song

  • I love this commercial. The guy is so cute. No matter what i'm doing...I stop to watch it. Love the song.

  • yea man when they make eye connection theres somethin that just hits u...great commercial

  • that guy is so hot! i can't even stand it.

  • whats the song plz?

  • @RyanVlogss Sean Hayes - Powerful Stuff

  • @RyanVlogss it's called "Powerful Stuff" by Sean Hayes, it's awesome, isn't it? I've had it stuck in my head for three days now! lol :)

  • gross.

  • well made commercial, but if you ask me, it's in pretty poor taste. definitely feels "wrong".

  • This dude was clearly inspired by Ottis Redding. It's amazing how he sounds almost exactly like him.

  • This commercial says so much you could say it is a 3 min movie... It is WONDERFUL, SEXEY, SUDUCTIVE .........

  • This commercial brought back some bittersweet memories.

  • Bitch

  • omg this commercial is like the sweetest commercial ever i love it im like crying when i see it

  • 4 People Did Not Get There First Subaru!!

  • Also really love this. Female and male views were bonding.... Who is singing the song, can I down load it or was it made for commercial? Any one knows? Thanks

  • @Belvdrosebud Sean Hayes - Powerful Stuff (Run Wolves Run)

  • Background Music ("Powerful Stuff," Sean Hayes)

  • Isnt the singer Paul Mcdonald from American Idol 2011?

  • I love this song.

  • @tinamk, I know IMDB doesn't list commercials. I meant I thought I had seen her in a movie or tv show, but all her credits she does have listed are not things I have seen. I did as you suggested and googled her images and I have to admit it may be her. I have netflix and have been watching a lot of movies lately and could have sworn I saw her in one or two lately, but none of those were listed in IMDB. Either way, she's smokin hot.

  • I'm not buying it that the blonde is Melissa Keller. I've seen her in a tv show or movie before and it isn't in her list of credits. It also doesn't looks like her in the pics on IMDB. anyone got any further info on who she is?

  • He got older, became a man and married a brunette. Good job.

  • Please stop with the hipster ads, Subaru. It really makes me despise your company, even though you make an excellent product.

  • @KP3Clutchin Glad you like them -- I can't stand them, but to each his own.

  • Long term - the car was cheaper.

  • this is some powerful stuff.

  • This makes me love my Subie even more - what a wonderful song

  • Hey everybody! I've got some answers for us, thanks to the modeling agency and the Subaru ad agent. The guy's name is Steven Sims, His ad agent is out in California and before you run off to Google his name, I can tell you that he doesn't have a website. YET! There are a couple of other guys with that name on there but they are not the same guy. I did find out that he has other ads coming out for Taco Bell, KFC and Hertz so we can watch for them.

  • @MsDaleway For all the girls out there, I found another commercial with Steven in it. It's on the Hertzcarrental channel called Journey On: Luke's Journey

    Enjoy!

  • Who is the blond in this commercial ?

  • @Lacoona The blonde is Melissa Keller and the brunette is Sarah Madison.

  • Thats my car! haha. Perfect timing! She was just in an accident that left me with a choice to move on or fix her ... Of course I fixed her! Ahhhh I love my car. And this this commercial just confirms it all. Yay!

  • finally found the song..LOL.

  • I'm trying to find out who that guy is in the ad. I'll post it as soon as I find out. Great car, sexy guy, perfect song...great ad. Think it deserves a CLIO.

  • Love this song!!!
