@samihasib that's not what the whole Advrider forum says, including the KLRists....the fact that this dude is not that tall/strong to keep the bike up when an (un)expected slip occurs doesn't mean that's the bikes' fault....I think the Dakar race is the toughest of all tests for a bike and KTM rules 'em there....tell me that you had never fallen on a KLR because it's the best bike...and I'll laugh so loudly that you'll hear me from your house....lol.,..
@Helladius666 KTM990s are surely more expensive and better for long adventure touring and you cannot compare KTM and KLR. They belong to different classes. however, when it comes to hard-core off roading (i mean really deep mud...etc), i have seen KLRs doing the best due to much lighter weight and simplicity. I have ridden BMW GS1200 too.... GS is horrible off the road....
@samihasib dude, 50lb is not that much...that's the difference between a KLR and a 990 adv...you also have better ground clearance with the KTM, MUCH better suspension, more hp and you re telling me that the Kawa is better in hardcore off-roading than the KTM (especially mud, where ground clearance is of paramount importance)...
That's not offroad, thats onwater!
