  • I'm still thinking about getting a CAI for my 09 Elantra. One way that I DO know how to get more air is that you remove the stock intake housing. You get virtually no resistance in the intake. I did get a little more power through it.

  • i got an 09 cant find intakes online i heard due to the ECU the stock intake cools it down. any ideas

  • @CanadianBBQ You can either remove the whole stock intake tube to allow full air coming directly to the box. Or you can try to find a local performance garage shop that can make a custom one for you. I have the luxury to go to the garage shop, but not the time to leave it there while I need it for work.

  • what exhaust do you have?

    interesting sound at full throttle

  • i have a 07 elantra myself auto aswell what brand is best to put and how can i find it because i serch and everywhere i go they say they still dont make any for the 07 model please help....

  • This probably did more harm than good. Your now sucking in hot hair. The hot air is coming from the heated engine bay, but mostly where the exhaust manifold is, which your filter happens to be pointed at. They call this set up a short ram intake. It was originally designed this way so that a hole would be cut through the hood and a scoop put in its place to ram cold air directly into the engine.

  • @DwnNvr no doubt

  • @DwnNvr completely true.

  • @davelee your right bro my bad didn't mean to sound negative, k&n makes a universal cold air intake called the Apollo intake system you should look into it if your interested in swapping your intake to a true cold air intake setup

  • @altismo80 I really appreciate your knowledge man. I bought an Apollo and swapped it out. MUCH better quality AND performance definitely! I'll put a vid up in a couple of weeks.

  • this isnt a cold air intake, the intake filter is suckin in warm air from the engine bay, this is a air intake filter with a long aluminum pipe LMFAO, i love it when people dont know what the hell they're talkin about

  • @altismo80 You know what you're probably right, but tell you the truth I'm happy with it. I mean you could just try to give me some pointers instead of trying to shoot me down altismo.

  • What are the details for this intake? How much did it cost?

  • @rohanuva I bought all the parts at Auto Zone and everything came to like $65.00.

  • @davelee0742 thanks man!! did u notice any improvement in performance with these??

  • @rohanuva i did, but check it out. Get the Apollo CAI made by K&N that Altismo80 was talking about. I got this because I wanted the performance and sound. And at the time I didn't have the money to get an AEM or something. It did justice, but the Apollo is a whole lot better.
