The bad thing about that cage is that if ur hamster is like mine, he tries to live in the Crittertrail Xtreme wheel which is on the outside. My hamster tried living in it and he stored food and bedding in it, and he wouldnt get out. So i just took the wheel off and blocked the top(wheel entrance) and after he tried to bite throught the blocker which is metal. So i just took the slide of also for 3 reasons: 1 He jumps of not climbs down. 2 he would just stay up there chewwing at the blocker. 3 I

They updated and made new versions of all CritterTrails, including that one you bought, the Z. It has a MUCH better water bottle, far superior petting zone, quiter wheel, and better cage door. You should get it. The bottle hangs in the back. Look for it, you'll be pleased you did. And by the way, I loved how he came out to see you. Too cute.

@Henerzinna well although dwarfs are cute syrians are generally more easily tamed then dwarfs and dwarfs are obviously faster and smaller. Syrians are obviously bigger and once tamed will stay tamed where as dwarfs will not if you do not handle them regularly. This is not bias although it seems like it is as my syrian hamster recently died of old age and this time I decided to get a couple of roborovski (I hope i spelt that right) dwarfs from pets at home.
