  • As much as I love all animals. Feral cats always look so pretty!

  • she's beautiful

  • I want her so badly </3 she is so beautiful

  • I have a former feral. Rescued at 8 months. Neutered him immediately. 7 years later of TLC, still can't break him out of old habits of rooting and kneading. When he is happy, he soaks my shirt with licking . The vet told me he still has mommy issues. Also I have to watch out, he bites hard. When he snaps, look out. I have warned the neighbor kids not to approach him. Roy is a good cat to me 95% of the time. 5% he still can act wild. Grey swirl tabby.

  • There's a lot of cats on my college campus, but there's one that seems to follow me around. I usually ignore it, but it like to hang out with me and I occasionally pet it.

  • This is just a stray cat(abandoned pet)... feral cat will start growl and hiss at you already... People get some education plz!!!

  • @busrel Not necessarily. If a feral cat decides to be friendly towards you, you wil not have any choice in the matter.

  • @Robbob9933

I grew up with true feral cats, for that matter I know more than you do (scratches, bites).... These days cats people always use the wrong terms such as "feral" and "stray". Ask any vet they'd agree with me.

  • @busrel When I refer to a cat as feral, it was born in the wild to a mother who was also born wild and follow that back a few generations and they will f*** you up if you try to pick them up. Sometimes there are feral cats who decide, for what ever reason, they like a person. I had a rural apt. in college and this feral male started leaving me kills at my door in the morning. One brutal winter night it started howeling at the door. (cont)

  • @busrel I opened the door to see what was going on and it zipped in and hopped on the bed happy as a clam. I could barely sleep through the purring. In the morning it was ready to go back out. He never wanted back in again but kept me in supply of rats and mice. This guy came from a feral line going back over 30 years according to the complex owner. I am still the only human it has desired contact with. Oh and vets that take care of rural animals say this is quite common.

  • I'll take her. I'll come pick her up and fly her to Texas if someone will contact me. I'm a cat rescuer and have two torti colored females already. I work for Southwest so can fly to pick her up for free and bring her back with me on the airplane. She needs a home. Don't leave her in a shelter forever. My email is alnbevf@aol.com. Beverly Garrett Hou TX

  • Why didnt you adopt her?

  • WHY THE HELL LOCK THE CAT IN A CAGE!?!?!??!

  • @llewellwhanau Because she's still feral at this point and therefore would run away and end up back where she isn't cared for properly. Read the person's updates for the whole story.

  • Feral adults can make marvelous pets! I have 2 older males (neutered) and they are my kitty family. Don't let anyone tell you an adult feral can't be gentled and assimilated, they can (one of mine was 5 when I trapped him, he had been prowling the property, terrorizing, for years).....and it took about 2 weeks or less to have both housecats! Spaying and neutering does WONDERS....

  • Shes so adorable...hope shes in a good home.

  • The reason the cat is responding when you make that sound means she has (now had, judging by the date of this video) kittens and is looking for them. You should have just let her go, so that she could go back to her (probably dead now) offspring.

  • @TheUnagedWitch

It be more humane to have the cat neutered so she can't produce generations of kittens that will probably die of malnutrition.

  • Such a pretty cat

  • A friend of mine took a feral cat in that turned out to be pregnant. I adopted one of her kittens (one of 6) ,, Non of the kitties meow just spit.... :/ My now 3 year old cat is still nasty but i love her x

  • Awwwww :D what a lovely little girl, hope someone will adopt her

  • I think this cat is very intelligent like one of my cats. she tries to speak like we do so we'll understand her better. LOL So cute!

  • i wish i could adopt her 3= sadly i live in Texas

  • How has someone not adopted her? :c She's so cute and has such a cute little voice!

  • So cute, looks like my old cat Evy....umm what does feral mean? lol

  • Hi Sara134100 I think feral means wild cat born with true survival instincts.. Time and lots of patience to tame them.

  • She's so lovely. And what's sad is I have the perfect home for her. I may move out in a few months from my house to a bigger one, so maybe I can travel 4 states over and adopt her! I wish! She and my cat Suki would get along lovely. (Suki is quiet, lived with other cats prior to me adopting her, and is loving to an excess...) I'm going to favorite this video and when I move out, if pretty little Annie is still homeless, I'll see if I can welcome her into mine! <3

  • Is she still in the shelter after two years? =( Hopefully by this time she's at someone's home...

  • @Germania72 She currently lives at the shelter but she isn't in a cage. She lives in a room with other kitty friends. I think she's happy there.

  • @theanimaladvocate Poor thing! I know that she must be feeling comfty with equals, however, it maked me pissed off that people are just dismissing her because, she's a bit of a challenge. It's so nice when you gain the trust from an animal after abandonment or mistreatment! Because, unlike humans animals don't lie. When they trust you, they mean it.

  • @theanimaladvocate Sorry, I meant "made me"...It's just I'm learning a third language (hungarian) and I'm kind of confused nowadays. Greetings from Hungary.

  • i think its wrong that no one adopts her because she is shy i would myself but i live in texas

  • Mail her to me!!!!!!!!!! I love torties!!!!

She doesn't want to be in a cage, she wants to chase mice at my house.

  • often shy cats, make the best cats =)

    I know, I have one.

  • <3 Poor baby. I made a literal sad face when I saw how long she's been in that shelter. :c I would get her if I could.

  • Please check out the video I made while in Afghanistan. Search "MY AFGHANISTAN VACATION" than and please leave a comment!

  • Sooo cuteee!

  • I for one am a skeptic. There is no evidence WHATSOEVER that cats exist. It was debunked. The only people who believe that cats exist are crazy conspiracy lunatics who are too ignorant and paranoid to do the research. Obviously this is all a hoax to steal your money. Don't fall for this bullshit scam.

  • awww so sad she's just in a cage on her own :( somebody adopt her, i'm going to adopt a cat near my local rescue centre. If it were for me I would adopt all the cats and buy a huge playground just for them, but realistically I can't :(

  • she is such a cutie <3

  • This is making me really sad. If I could afford taking care of a pet right now, and if I was close to this shelter, I would adopt her in a heartbeat. IN A HEARTBEAT.

  • did she have kittens i dont know if you know because my friend has a feral cat that looks a lpt like her it could be a coincidence though.

  • This is the first time I've seen this video. Hearing her squeak at you and reading the updates you posted made me tear up... Why hasn't anyone adopted this beauty yet?! I wish for the best for her. She is truly a beauty.

  • soooo cute

  • Annie, we love you...xxxxxx At least she is in a no kill shelter! :-(

  • What ever happen to Annie???

  • What ever happen to Annie???

  • I hate cats. They always bring more cats with them.

  • I love torties! Our little feral rescue Calypso is a tortoiseshell. With a lot of patience and love, feral cats can learn to trust humans. Our family cares for a feral cat colony. While they're still quite skittish around strangers and startle easily, they enjoy being petted and actively solicit

  • Ahh... I just fell in love seeing her, I have a tortie myself and she is 20 years old now. How I can't believe why nobody wants her in the area where the shelter is! Only because she is shy, people are the weirdest creatures I know.

I would go and get her if it were possible, but sadly I live in The Netherlands.

Like many others here I do hope she will find a nice home and soon. Sitting in a shelter for over 2 years for such a lovely cat no i don't get that at all.

  • THIS SOUNDS AND LOOKS LIKE MY CAT ASHES

  • Aww I hope she got adopted. :(

  • That is just the sweetest meow!

  • I don't think she is feral if she is relating to you and meowing. She sure is beautiful!

  • Annie is so beautiful! Does she have a home yet?

  • shes crying

  • Alley Cat Allies claims that with Trap, Neuter & Return practices are carried out, and volunteers feed them, feral cats do quite well outside and can live full lives. With well-built outside shelters for bad weather (which alley cat allies can instruct how to build) they do well. Many localities pick them up & kill them. Feral cats need to be recognized as wild animals who have a right to live without being harmed or killed.

  • Exactly, feral cats barely speak mostly just do a whole lot of squeaking. It's the stray cats that make all of the noise. I am care taking 7 feral cats and 1 stray. The stray cat is going to get me kicked out. The feral cats are very sweet. They are outside of course and I cannot get close to them. The stray cat is ruining the dynamic.

  • They need so much love!

  • So has she been adopted now?

  • G-d bless you, and I mean that! I live in Metro K.C. and have 11 cats, all of whom were rescued and two of whom were feral but are now wonderful pets. Two weeks ago my 15 year old, who was suffering from diabetes and kidney failure had to be put to sleep. I did everything I could to save him, but none of us lives forever. Let's be honest: Nobody knows if there is a Heaven or not; but if there is, I sure hope that I am reunited with all of my pets; and you no doubt feel the same.

  • Looks like a really great little cat here :)

  • Wow, she's gorgeous... =)

  • How adorable. I took on a stray cat and gave her a home

  • :'( am to young snif snif

  • She's such a sweetie :D I have a kitty that looks like her. Has she been adopted yet? How is Annie?

  • It's a tortoise shell like my cat Mika.

  • Aww! What a cute meow!

  • I can fully understand what cats say....this cat is explaining that the first chance it gets i will remove your left eye.

  • @007bondspy remember bondspy fuck you ,;i;; lol

  • You sure this is a feral and not a stray? Anyway, she looks healthy. Hopefully she gets adopted very soon

  • She is so sweet.

  • u will be nerfed kitty! now u won't be able to get out of the cage!

  • Comment removed

  • @FCHWCAlexQ that didn't even make sense tard ok? sick fuck OK lol

  • @gator966 How am I sick? and tard? lol I didn't say I had no clue what was going to happen if eh/she isn't adopted, just that where this cat is, nobody want him/her, and remember FUCK UP! L-O-L!

  • wonder what she is saying

  • I fear you are over there fighting with the same problem that we do in the netherlands at the moment? It is for some reason very hard to rehome certain cats while others go like there was no end to it... This is a very sweet cat and definately needs a good home! I hope she has been rehomed by now... She has overstayed her time in a shelter well enough I would say. If she is still there, give her a sweet hug from me... Cause she is lovely!

  • Awwwwwwwwh

  • Why has this lilttle one not been adopted yet? I have had this in my favorites for over a year now. Surely there must be that 1 person that understands this little darlings soul as I do. I wish i lived in the US! I have 4 ferals and have homed many more. I shed tears for the companionship that this little one is asking for.

  • N'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww :3

  • Your sweet cat looks a bit like my cat, Miffy!! She also was a stray(feral) cat.

  • she dont look feral to me

  • @vsoraya we only adopt to people within 50 miles. But I'm sure there is a kitty just like Annie near you who needs a home

  • What can I do to adopt this cat? I had a cat similar years ago I really would like to take care of this lovely creature.

  • @vsoraya Well, if you are near Kansas City, MO, she is in a shelter in Parkville, MO.

  • I'm in Bronx-NY how can I contact this shelter?

  • Thank You! I'll contact the shelter

  • NEVER be discouraged by the Feral tag, I have turned quite a few after even 2-3 years. One is a sleep on me right now. Once they associate you with feeding, hopefully, they will turn. It is a slow and patient process. Always remember "it's not their fault" ..I hope she finds a good home !!

  • Yes, she is at a shelter near Kansas City, MO.

  • Is this kitty still at the shelter? I live in a condo near Boston where there is only a "one pet policy", although some here ignore that. I don't know how my cat would react to a companion animal.

  • @scorpietta Yes, she is at a shelter near Kansas City, MO.

  • @theanimaladvocate I am sorry I don't live there, I'd visit. I am a nurse currently working with cats and would like to volunteer after the new year. We have a shelter up here in Mass called Animal Umbrella. They provide a permanent home there for feral and semi feral cats. I had to relinquish a female semi feral to them a few years back because of the policy here.

  • This cat is too sweet for words. I played this with my own cats in the room and they started running around looking for where the "cat noises" were coming from!! I would say this cat is totally adoptable which is really great, because most ferals can't be tamed, or so I have heard. Do you think its possible to tame an adult feral?

  • someone spilled some bleach!

  • looks like patience of love payed off !

  • I am willing to take her. Where is is locaed?

  • I'd get that sweet kitty in a heartbeat after reading her story. However I live in CA and I haven't moved out yet to a place that allows pets. :(

  • Aw that sweet little babysqueak he/she has!

  • Lol wow..that argument above is amusing. But in a sense, you're both right. I watched a animal special on what animal is top hunter [in a category of ten filled with lions etc] and Domestic cats were number one on the list. They have a hunterly instinct, so yes, they can live outdoors. But she or he is right, they do need to be fixed to a degree. If you're to have them live outdoors, have them fixed. True, kittens are a nice idea..but do it in a way where you can keep an eye on them.

  • D: Awww, Annie still isn't adopted? I would love to adopt her if I could...

I was just surfing Youtube and came across this video. I read most of your updates and am surprised it reached all the way to 2010... If my parents were okay with new pets or I could finally live on my own, I'd love to own her.

  • :( Was hoping that you'd put an update saying you'd decided to adopt her :(

  • All you have to do is pick up a cat and drop him off away from your house. They'll adapt to hunting birds and other like creatures. Hehe.

  • Awwww! Such a pretty cat.

  • if only the feral cats in my area were as sweet as this little kitty, i'd gladly open my doors, get them fixed and treated for fleas, but instead they fight with my little cat and the neighbouring domestic cats in their groups and force me to be violent, i do not kill them, but they get enough to keep them away, the only problem is how they reproduce, and there is an old lady who leaves out a mass of food for them, and she is my neighbour, and apparently the council can do nothing about it

  • @respontaneous They need to be fixed regardless of if they are friendly. They are reproducing and TNR is the only humane way to reduce their population. They are struggling, it is difficult for them to survive outside and most of the year, if you live in a seasonal area, life is very difficult. Please get them fixed!! If they are fixed, the hormones in their bodies are reduced and they don't fight...they fight because of territory and mating. If they can't mate, they won't fight.

  • @theanimaladvocate trust me i've tried to help them, there's a new batch at least every year and i've pretty much given up because no one with the proper facilities is prepared to help, and the little girl i've got isn't as big as the average cat so it's kind of hard for her to take on a few at a time, and i kind of lose my cool when that happens, of course it's territorial but i can't stand it when they're in groups

  • @theanimaladvocate What are of the country do you live in? I'm in Kansas City and there are 3 or 4 low cost clinics around here. You just have to look for them. You are doing the cats a disservice by not getting them fixed because as you said, there's a new batch every year. Also, keep your own cat inside! Why would you let her out anyway? There's a lot of danger out there...people poison cats, shoot them, steal them, they could get run over by a car...the list is endless.

  • @theanimaladvocate

how is cutting off a cats junk a service. can i cut your junk off?

Keep your child inside! Why would you let her out anyway? There's a lot of danger out there... people poison children, shoot them, steal them, they could get run over by a car ... the list is endless.

fear fear fear. cats are supposed to be outside. If they weren't they would build houses like people do. There would be cat cities with cat cars and trains, if they were meant to live inside.

  • @noler85 Your argument is pretty weak-what about wildlife? I don't see any raccoon houses or opossum cars. Cats were domesticated and the feral cats were at some generation living inside. It was people's lack of responsibility that caused the problem...look if you don't want to go through the effort of "cutting off their junk" and reducing the population that's your choice.

  • My cat talks back to me when I talk to her too =) Anyone know why this is or what they're trying to say? D:

  • gosh she's so gorgeous D:

  • So sweet. This is a delicate cat even if feral.

  • I got a cat well 3 cats and saved them form a bus coming in the sreet. one is gray and the 2 one is a calico and the 3rd is a feral

  • YOU'R SO ADOPTED!

  • Aww, she's beautiful. I just found two 3 week old orphaned kittens a few days ago, and I'm working hard to feed and care for them. I wish more people were responsible pet owners, spay or neuter your cats and please keep them indoors for their health. :)

  • I see this video was uploaded nearly 3 years ago. How is Annie now?

  • SOMEBODY ADOPT HER PLEASE!

  • @FlyGirlz2 There are many, many cats out there just like Annie that need someone who is patient with her to let her blossom on her own time. A lot of kill shelters will kill cats like this because they are so shy-even though they are not aggressive. Save shy kitties' lives! ADOPT!

  • @theanimaladvocate Bealive me,i know. I adopted a kitten (who was a stay) just a month ago, and before her i had a cat name sox (who i still love and own.) they get along OK, exept they fight but i love them both. I cant own anymore. 1) no room 2) mom wont let me.

    Please adopt annie :)

  • omg! she is so cute! I hope you find a forever home for her.

..and a 'meow' thank you for helping her:)

  • I wish people cared as much about homeless people than they do homeless cats. Just shows where our priorities lie in this country. Good job, I hope I never meet you.

  • @skaz21 Why do you assume I don't care about homeless people? I care about any animals or humans suffering. I hope I never meet you, you judgmental asshole. WTF are you doing to help anybody? Sitting at home on your ass commenting on youtube videos isn't helping anyone. Screw you

  • @theanimaladvocate HA! Why so defensive? You just proved my point, I bet you're the type of person that steps over homeless people on their way to Starbucks so you can pay 6 dollars for a cup of coffee: "Get out of my way you fucking bum! Get a damn job you bum!"

I've been homeless and it sucks. Yeah, you bet your ass I volunteer at the shelter. What do you do? Feed homeless cats? You want a cookie?

There are HUMANS starving behind dumpsters, why don't you pull your head out of your ass!

  • @skaz21 I am defensive because that is what many people say about people in animal rescue. You didn't "prove" a damn thing. I do help people but I am not going to sit here and tell you all the ways I do it...so get off your high horse. I would never call someone a bum, I know that laziness is NOT the cause of homelessness. Also, I would never pay $6 for a stupid cup of coffee You never said what YOU DO TO HELP PEOPLE! Get rid of your stereotypes and you might be a happier person, jerk.

  • @theanimaladvocate you did say you volunteer at a shelter...sorry

  • She is such a sweet kitty! did she ever get adopted?

  • That's no FERAL cat, she is a beautiful tortoiseshell kitty, I hope she goes to a good home. You should be ashamed cooping her up in a cage.

  • @websternine read the updates, she is not in a cage anymore

  • you this cat was in a shelter in Australia i would adopt her

  • Gorgeous: she is pretty sociable for a wild cat.

  • Take her home. She loves you and she's been at the shelter a long time. Is she still there now?

  • I would adopt her in a second! She is so beautiful!

  • My feral cat Francine and her 3 month old daughter Gigi have been home about 3 weeks. Francine is still extremely pensive and stays underneath my sofa but she has been venturing out little by little because Gigi really warmed up to me. Progress is slow and steady but well worth the patience. I hope someone adopts Annie soon.

  • What a cutie! I hope she gets adopted. I am currenlty socializing my adopted feral mama cat and her kittens. It is so rewarding.

  • Annie looks almost the same as my Mouse, in the face, when Annie talks, looks like my Mousie, they don't sound the same, but right down to the lower teeth. By the way, Mouse freaked out listening to the video haha.

  • She is such a cutie! She looks like my little NAJA>

  • She is a lovely cat and seems sweet. I look at your update history and it makes me sad that she's been there for two years and no takers.

  • Wow, "Annie" looks (and sounds!) so much like my friend Persey! But Persey was living in Colorado the last time I saw her... Do you know how old she is? If she's my friend Persey with a different name, my humans and I would love to have her come live with us!

  • Is this one really feral? Or is she a shy "friendly" (socialized at some point in her life)? If you tried to pet her would she try to rip your hand off or maybe a hiss once and start purring? Curious...

  • @JulesKelworan She was never aggressive with me. So, I guess technically she wouldn't be considered feral. "Feral" is used as a word to indicate that they live outside but also to indicate that they are "wild". She was always just really shy and because of that considered unadoptable by some.

  • squeak squeak!

  • omg cuuute! I'm so happy that you actually update on the progress of her. SInce she's so attached to you, you should adopt her already! Although other people can't see how sweet she is because they think she is too shy, YOU know...take her hooome lol

  • I'd take her any day so cute !!! She'll get over the shyness once she gets to know you

  • She's so beautiful

  • awww cute it's great that your helping her i hope that she finds a good home and i am sure she will someday

  • ^^cuteeeeee!!!!!

  • Kill it.

  • @MarsiliusWallace fuck you

  • Feral cats are hardcore, I feel sorry for them though, especially in the winter, don't know where this is, but where I come from the temperature can either be +40 degrees Celsius or -40 degrees Celsius.

  • that is one ugly cat

  • She seams like such a sweet cat and I'm glad you helped her. But those sounds your making sounds like baby kittens. Kittens calling for their moma. I'm sure she's wondering where the babies are and she sounds a little frustrated to me. :(

  • what's happened with Annie?

  • @meridiansatyagraha She is still living at the no kill shelter in Parkville, MO. She has it pretty good there, she gets to walk around the room and snuggle with her kitty friends.

  • thank you for taking the time to share your love with the cat and with us, too.

  • did the cat ever get adopted?

  • @olliecat1509 no, she still has not been adopted. Unfortunately, many people overlook cats like Annie simply because she is shy when they first meet her. If they got to know her a little, they would see that she is a very sweet girl.

  • What a stuck no all you are. I have had ferals for many years and this one is NOT suffering anxiety. Its a "I know it all" atitude. People like you are liberal whatever anybody does I will disagree types. The cat is safe secure fed and happy to comunicate so go away.

  • @TheAKmatics You're fucking disgusting. I hope your face gets smashed in for being an asshole. Go die in a hole.

This kitty has such a sweet little meow :) I hope she is adopted soon!

  • @Lumenatra675 What is wrong with you? Would you be willing to send lots of money to do TNR on a whole colony? How many cats have you helped? It's very difficult to trap them, take them to the vet and care for them. And then you have to feed and take care of them forever.

  • @uschimyers Excuse me, but did you even LOOK at the comment I was replying to?? TheAKmatics said: "this cat is so ugly I would smash her face if I was the owner". Are you supporting people who want to smash cats faces in because they think they are ugly? Seriously? What is wrong with YOU for fcks sake.

If I had enough money I would send it to help cats with pleasure.

You're speaking to yourself there weirdo.

I freaking hope no one takes the time to "feed and take care of" you "forever".

  • @TheAKmatics YOU ARE A STUPID LITTLE FUCK!!! I BET YOU WOULDNT LAST ONE SECOND OF HAVING THAT CAT'S LIFE!

    SUCK MY DICK YOU BONERBAG!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nobody wants her!!! I'd take her in a heartbeat!

  • @W920i

my kitty was a stray, but i found her as a kitten and SHE adopted me not the other way around.

she is still shy with other people but adores me, i would take this sweet girl home in a heart beat to, my cat is not much for lap surfing and hates to be picked up as well so i'm very familiar with this behaviour, it's very common in feral born cats.

but the ones who tamed her really should have just TNR'd her, fixed her and released her, now she waits & no one comes 4 her, how cruel 4 her.

  • Well, Feral or not, this cat does not seem to be violent, just maybe a bit in distress from the cage, but otherwise seems quite social.

  • @AcanLord She is social with cats but not with humans. She was never was aggressive.

  • i love how in the description u say ur helping it, that cat is lonley and stuck in a little cage and ur antagonizing it, cruel

  • @YourMeltingMyRainbow She may have been in a cage for a few months but now she is living at a local no kill animal shelter where she can roam around with her friends.

  • I tame my feral cats by feeding them where they live and just sitting outside with them. I can now touch all of them and one of them even likes to sit in my lap. The only feral that I had to catch and rehome immediatlely was a female who broke her leg and then had to have it amputated. Luckily she's turned into one of the sweetest cats ever. Help feral cats!

  • @JacketTalent Have you gotten them spayed or neutered? If your not getting that done-stop feeding them.

  • Ok there is a stray that comes around my house ill feed him and he makes that exact noise what does it mean?

  • whats wrong with its voice

  • She's lovely. Where are you guys anyway?

  • @InweTaralom Kansas City, MO.

  • Oh shes sooo cute!

  • why it's in a cage????

  • it's too bad your in the u.s as i would adopt her in a heart beat,i've been looking for a friendly older cat in need of a good home to keep my kitty company as she is still grieving over the loss of her sister.

i feel this one would have us well.
