  • I'm not familiar with acrylic laquer is. Is this product purchased from an art supply store? Your video was very interesting and I'm now looking forward to watching "the second day". Thank you for sharing.

  • Thanks for the comment - and acrylic laquer is actually something bought from an ordinary paint shop, normally used to laquer wooden panels. It is water soluble and light resistant and entirely transparent. One could of course mix it with pigments, too...

  • Thank you. I watched the 3 videos of your working on the canvas with the acrylic lacquer. Thank you for sharing your creative process. The finished work was wonderful!

  • cool video! makes me wanna go and retrieve my old easel from the closet... oh wait... i don't have it anymore!

i've never tried doing abstract painting from scratch. i always paint an object or something that resembles one first then... abstract it. haha. =D

  • Then you have to paint without an easel:) As you can see, I do not have the best conditions but... right now we have cleared out a lot of rubbish from another compartment here in the basement and Julyana installed a good light tube so now I have more space, at least - but I long for a real studio!
