I was 8 when I happened to come across this show and it came to my attention when I heard someone (I think it was Richard) mention something about Mt. Kinabalu (I'm a Malaysian raised in Borneo) and I used to get excited to watch the show without fully understanding the game. 11 years later, after I rewatched every season that I used to watch as a kid, my understanding of the game gets better. It's an honour to have the first season of Survivor being filmed in my home state of Sabah.

wow..its been over ten years now since this episode was broadcast, and despite me being 9 at the time, i remember this season as though it were yesterday. Kelly deserved to win the game- no doubt about that. I think greg was foolish because he was manipulated by richards bullshit and sue was just a bitter old cow. kelly, winning 5 straight challenges, puts her in the hall of fame for survivor and i thnk she should return to survivor and give parvati shallow and boston rob a run for their money:)

with this winner reveal its kind of like the final round of a spelling bee or some type of kid contest. they reveal the winner, congratulate them, and also congratulate the runner up as if they also won and the runner up just stands there trying 2 look happy. either way, this was history right here lol
