My question is WHAT if the HD is centralized and shared on the network WIFI and I want all the music from that folder, will it connect and read all that music from that shared folder?
@gargara I have the same setup at home. I did a quick google search and read some forums and it seems that it can be hooked up that way. But if your only using the HD for music, then it would be a better idea to hook it directly to Squeezebox.
@gargara Yep your right, I am not 100% sure. Calling support or shooting them an email is your best bet. Wish I could help you out, but I never tried Squeezebox in that manner so I can't be certain if it will work.

to my wifi router , the HD is a network drive with an IP so I can connect thru the wifi.
The HD has a MUSIC folder.
Also : will this device create a music library ? (I hope not, I hate the way ipod works, crypting and making unrecovarable te files)

@getconnectedtvshow ok my best guess is that you are not sure completly.
ON the HD I have Music, Movies, PIcs... I have different solutions for video and pics,
audio is something I want to use this way, so I may have to call the support.
