Omg thT'S DOUBTFUL. You can never compare Jiraiya's power to Itachi's.  The Sannins are stronger than Itachi. Orochimaru doesn't want to kill Itachi. He want to take control over him. JIraiya shouldn't have died that easily, he only want to get his goal(know about Pain). Same thing for Tsunade. Never compare the sannins power with anybody at all.
