who cares if they sound similar? like most rock/pop/techno/dance songs he is using standard chord progressions found in 100's of thousands of songs you hear on the radio. He isn't being hired by movie studios to revolutionize movie soundtracks. he's paid to create the mood and he does that perfectly.

Such naive and simplistic views as yours are amazing. If musicians don't get paid then they can't afford instruments or studio time or recording equipment. Then what?

@chiswaah no exactly the same as making tables as the raw materials for that would cost a fair bit...

if musician's are good enough they will make money from it...same as any form of artist. people find images online when a professional photographer has taken them..

painters work can be found on google images without paying to go to the exhibit....

its the artists/managers job to protect their own work,

@chiswaah A true artist isn't concerned with monetary gain. If you're good enough to make enough money to live, then it shouldn't matter if people take your work for free...just as long as they aren't gaining financially from it. It's all about leaving your mark on the world.
