Talent would mean you are doing something that not everyone else can, slam poetry is flood with people who think cause they string some words together and vent they are talented. There was nothing special about her poems.

Talent is someone doing something better than most, not doing something "not everyone" can. I can make a basket, but I can't play like Jordan; I can run, but not as fast as Bolt; and I can swim, but not like Phelps.

Btw, she co-wrote this film which won awards @ Cannes and Sundance. I know, I know, that doesn't mean she has talent.

Look Sonja's #1 fan, this was about her poetry not her screen writing. And when I said "not everyone can do" I obviously meant it to interchangable with "better than most" , this is understood by quick of mind. And still regardless what I have seen of her poetry I bo not see something that is done "better than most".

I guess brevity truly is the soul of wit, but nice try, you get a smiley face for the effort. Anyway, I'm sorry, but I thought you knew what you were saying in your first post. Your first post dealt with absolutes while my post was one of degrees - can or can't isn't equal to greater or lesser.
