that is not rare you get a wormhole key then you can fly through the black hole or rare item as you called it :/ how do you think you get to the other side of the galaxy :/

@zarrurer12 Late reply, but he is right. A wormhole is made by 2 blackholes, or blackhole and yet-discovered whitehole, held open by exotic matter with negative pressure (closest we have gotten to that is Casimir effect the other year there)

Going through a wormhole would essentially be impossible with any current tech we have because the ship would be wrecked instantly. We'd need to have mastered gravity before we could go through one.

Teleportation is out since we'd need to be there..

@Hunnter2k3 a wormhole COULD be made from 2 black holes but we dont have the technology to go inside one. plus its not proven that wormholes on black holes accually exist yet. what we know as of now is there is no matter as we know it inside a black hole. we need to wait to see whats inside a black hole.

@zarrurer12 Yeah, we don't have that capability, but that is what a wormhole is, 2 blackholes. And while it isn't proven, that is the only way known within our current knowledge, outside of bending space manually. As for matter inside them, we actually do know what is in them. Blackholes aren't that special or magical, they are just the same as dense stars, condensed even further to the point that it stops EM traversal.
