I don't know what to think of this car....? I mean....it looks great....but its a little too pricey.....it has a boisterous engine.....but its not as refined as it could be........it comes off as sporty........but it handles with slight disappointment..... :/ meh
NISSAN CORP. DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THERE PRODUCT. Bought a 2009 Maxima, brand new it pulled to the RIGHT SO BAD if I let go of the stearing wheel it pulled across 3 lanes of trafic In less then 5 Sec. Brought this to Nissan Corp. atten. they said it met there " Plans & Specifications" Moral of the story: Driving the car one day & hit a grove in the road The car PULLED INTO A BRICK WALL! I've owned more then 5 Nissan's in the past & Nissan lost my Biz NISSAN DOESNT CARE ABOUT OUR SAFETY
"Staring down the nose of a Malibu on the showroom floor." Yeah, but a Malibu will do 60 in 6 flat and the 1320 in 14.6. Very close in terms of performance.
To the guy who says he would take a malibu is clearly lost, I am an american car own of a 2009 F-150 and a lincoln town car. But no offense man, the malibu might have the looks to kill but the maxima has the performance. Not to hate but many car owners are too blind to see the truth. Nissan made a good effort with the maxima in 2009
@DJ32C i don't like the maxima shape too is just very tall in the back like a whale in fact the malibu looks a lot better I wouldn't buy any of those either i'm happy with my old 2002 M3
@curancho well if u know sports cars, that how they r, the lambo is like that, the gtr is ike that, the bugatti is like that, panamera is like that, and so on, so read about it b4 u weep about it
I just purchased a 08, with 25000 miles 12/19/09 still smells new from the leather,, never smoked or eaten in looks new,, its an SE whatever that means,, gotta love the heated seats,, sunroof with 5 settings, 6 speed gear box, XM radio, keyless, and other things I havent figured out yet.. Oh the reason a maxima cause I own a 1997 with 197000 miles and its NEVER been in the shop.. for major repairs.. brakes, CV joints, oil, batt., O2 sensors, things like that,, but NEVER left me stranded....
I do like side/rear exterior view. Front view though...yuck, strange headlights, square front end, just doesn't do it for me. I do like interior perforated leather. Definitely don't like how the nav controls are on a "shelf" in front of the screen. The tach, speedo, fuel, temp guages are just "ok", but don't seem to match the level of the rest of the car. Performance is decent.
40k for this car though? I think I'll wait for the V6 version of Suzuki Kizashi, similar car for 24k & better warranty
You can't really compare a RWD Infiniti with a FWD Maxima and plus, the Maxima, IMO, looks a lot better than the G, and I'm pretty sure the only good Infiniti trim is much more expensive than the Maxima. Even the G's base price was $3k more the last time I checked.
americans know nothing about cars.. why? well, think of the ford focus rs. that is front wheel drive, and the europeans were calling it blastfomy, thus ford had to invent a new type of differential to handle the 300 horsepower in a front-drive setup.
the maxima has 290, and i've never heard of nissan tweaking a new differential to cure the understeer of this car. yet, nobody seems to care.
cars with front wheel drive should have no more than 220 horsepower from my experience.
@coolerdude44 the honda accord has 280 hp. That car has vitrually NO torque steer and i assure you with the next gen it'll be offereing 300+ hp with the V6
