  • Can somebody tell me sites/books/dvds to learn Qigong, martial arts style preferably :o.

  • 五形都没打完。

  • beautiful!

  • This Wudang qigong improved my ciculation and qi. All are easy to do. The dragon form is a bit confusing at first. But after I learned the counts of left and right turns, then it is also simple. Somehow my mind and body crave for them. The practice is slow but it is all internal.

  • @YouFirstEye

I agree the dragon form is the most time consuming to learn, but great Qi gong. I have praticed daily for 2 years. Just feeling a lot better. I do also taichi 28 once a day it's not much but a big difference compared to nothing.

  • my chinese sign is monkey. I want to see monkey style!

  • One should practice all forms to attain equilibrium in all five elements in the body

  • Tortoise, Crane, Snake, Tiger, Dragon.

  • I think snake is the right form for me, my lungs are pretty weak...

  • Is actually Leopard...

Tiger, Crane, Leopard, Snake and Dragon were the 5 South Shaolin animals, the monkey comes from the north...

  • NO, not Leopard, not Monkey, it's Tortoise.

I have the video and practice this qigong for over a year now. Perhaps some day I will post a video of the whole set.

  • I'm learning this form right now, where can I get the video?!

  • its not Shaolin its Wudang mannn

  • @djokodjoko you know, wudang is a level of shaolin kung fu, but yeah, There are also WU-dang mountains, and under it is some city, where was this style born

  • @Lukass12

Wudang as nothing to do with Shaolin.

Wudang is NOT a level of Shaolin kungfu!!!

  • @djokodjoko check the 4th level

  • monkey?

  • Tiger, crane, snake, dragon...what's the fifth animal?

  • tortoise associated with longevity and water element.

  • Swan!

  • Nice Video

  • I'll take it!

  • May that felt amazong!

  • ¿what is wudang? Wudang is kung fu? and ¿where was born this art? thank- :D

  • Wu Dang is a place (mountain) in China where Taoist monks have build them self a temple.

There is different tendency in Chinese kungfu mainly represented by Taoist (wudang) and Buddhist (shaolin).

@TSshisan this is indeed ChiKong the same roots the same philosophy the same rules shows up clearly :)

  • i think that is taichi not qigong··

  • I know - from experience - that it is qigong.

  • thaks

really good history and and very nice eplenation.

i alwayes think about these movements and try to find the key and open the knowledg of these styles.

i have many objects and try to find out how the chinese ancient masters was thnking.

the key must be in their mind.

    sincerely

    thanks

oh!tell to your master his moving is like a distichs of a poem .when i watched him i thought he is trying to tell us a poem his movement made me relax.

    thanks once more

  • Very great video and qi gong. I do all 5 forms almost every day for 3 month know, if I miss a day I do not fell as good. Most difficult was the dragon form, I do not know exacly why, but it was a real headache to figure out the walking part.

  • Because one tends to make one step to much. I had the same problem.

  • 1. qigong isn't a martial arts, do some research.

    2. tkd has nothing on wudang martial arts

    3. i can't wait until you can't walk because all you've done is kicking and your legs tighten up from it. but this'll prevent that.

  • in real fighting you don't kick, people can just grap your leg

  • Since I thought to reply to Klaus derectly, I didn't intend to post it on the public comments (I was a new member).Could it please be removed?

  • We finished the form with the dragon last weekend and it was a very nice workshop. Master Yuan is simply fabulous as a teacher. And the dragon is not long but the next year will see some work to keep and deepen it. ;-)

  • thanks a lot

  • I'm learning this system from Master Yuan Liming and I really like it and pratice it at least twice a week - except of the dragon which we will start on next year. But this is the first time I see it here - in excerpts. Interesting small variations.

  • Thank you for mentioning.Since I subscribed for a week-end 5 animal qi gong with Yuan Liming in Amsterdam in the beginning of April(at the Oriental College). So now I know already what to expect!I must admit that I am quite curious where you will start continuing this form next year.

  • thank you
