Popular music like this has always had the same beat. You could mash up a ton of songs like this and you'd have multiple overlays of the same beat. It's kick-snare- kick-snare kick, and so on. Align the hook(catchy chorus part) right with those drums and you've got it. If you notice pretty much every time she says a key word in the song the drums hit. The same formula works over and over again to keep people buying into this junk.
