@Mrmozilafirefoxable unfortunately may outside trheat an din tayo ngayon so i will not expect to get a military modernization based solely on internal conflict usages.we should get uav drones for the rebels and some attack choppers..good vessels,radar and SAMS for protecting oru sovereignity.multi role fighters are very expensive and unless you will get the best out there(4+++ and 5th generation fighters) you will not stand a chance against invaders(although it will be helpful at some point.

@otencyano i agree main battle tanks should be teh least of our worries but it shouldne be out of the equation as well.we can upgrade these simbas later on with apc llike lav 3s if it can prove to handle our rugged terrains.most importantly UAVS which we can invest on to develop with IR/NVs with good laser guided missiles for surgical missions.in that way we dont have to risk as much as what the afps are doing now with our personnels.i will say UAVS will be significantly beneficial for afp!

I watch a segment of reporters notebook about the modernization of AFP equipment. I was saddened that almost 90% of the heavy machinery, airplane, Boat and even a light cannon that are being used in Mindanao are all made during world war II and to this day we have no new Machine of fire power capable to combat aggression of possible foreign invasion like China, the culprit is the greedy Officials of the AFP and there families materialistic Wants! still Longing for a nationalistic Military men.

parang kwawa nman tayo pag hanggang ganto lang. most of our equips are donated by allied(meaning scrap metal na nila). from choppers, plains, grounds. meron pa nga sana daw ang mga army naten combat allowance na $3 per day of operation. bat d nman nila ntatanggap? sahod lang.
most of these APC's a wheeled. heavy wheeled vehicles tend to sink and get stuck on mud. they are better of on the road or on dry, hard ground.
the m113a3 gavin is by far my favorite and most preferred on this video. it is flexible, you can fit a number of turrets and upgrades on it all in one platform. it has tracks which maximizes the ground contact so it will not sink as much compared to wheeled APC's. also, it is amphibious.
don't know which ones are easier to drive though. :)

@otencyano i agree main battle tanks should be teh least of our worries but it shouldne be out of the equation as well.we can upgrade these simbas later on with apc llike lav 3s if it can prove to handle our rugged terrains.most importantly UAVS which we can invest on to develop with IR/NVs with good laser guided missiles for surgical missions.in that way we dont have to risk as much as what the afps are doing now with our personnels.i will say UAVS will be significantly beneficial for afp!

I watch a segment of reporters notebook about the modernization of AFP equipment. I was saddened that almost 90% of the heavy machinery, airplane, Boat and even a light cannon that are being used in Mindanao are all made during world war II and to this day we have no new Machine of fire power capable to combat aggression of possible foreign invasion like China, the culprit is the greedy Officials of the AFP and there families materialistic Wants! still Longing for a nationalistic Military men.

parang kwawa nman tayo pag hanggang ganto lang. most of our equips are donated by allied(meaning scrap metal na nila). from choppers, plains, grounds. meron pa nga sana daw ang mga army naten combat allowance na $3 per day of operation. bat d nman nila ntatanggap? sahod lang.

most of these APC's a wheeled. heavy wheeled vehicles tend to sink and get stuck on mud. they are better of on the road or on dry, hard ground.
the m113a3 gavin is by far my favorite and most preferred on this video. it is flexible, you can fit a number of turrets and upgrades on it all in one platform. it has tracks which maximizes the ground contact so it will not sink as much compared to wheeled APC's. also, it is amphibious.
don't know which ones are easier to drive though. :)

for me, a HEAVY tank is not needed by the AFP, due to the giological terrains of the PHIL., an ADVANCEMENT for the APCs are enough. khit night vision at infrared malaking tulong n yun sa ARMOR DEV. ng AFP..for the small arms, i utilize lng sna ng GOV. ang gun making sa DANAO pra mabigyan lhat ng police at army ntin ng baril..at sna mag issue sila ng KEVLAR lalo na sa ARMY..

we should be proud for what we got for now and make use of the resources (funds) to develop it to adjust to 21st century ,modern warfare.night vision ,mine detector,body armour,cctv,guidance system,sat nav,we could make our own locally as long as we adhere to its strict requirement,it should pass bomb and rpg test.we got the manpower ,brave and loyal to the country,be proud of them.

I salute the men and women of the AFP for their bravery in the battle and for their sacrifice. Although they know we dont have high quality weapons, but still they fight with whatever they have... some of those vehicles are just made out of scrap from ship, tanks and airplane parts taken and put together to make a fighting vehicle. That is what I am proud, they do things others cant... I salute those weapons engineer... good to go.. ahooo... ahooo...

They're not needed.... IMHO... Fast and Mobile vehicles can punch out a Tank in our terrain... Guerilla tactics is very suitable too...

Archipelago tayo kaya it is much better if we could buy aircrafts such as F-16 dahil mura mura din yun if we can grab f-18s that would be better. kailangan din natin ng kahit 10 modern corvettes at frigates to guard our seas. and more AAs if not SAMs. kaya ng pinas yan pero tayong 300 b purchasing power. kaso ewan lang kung magagawa pa natin yan.

Kawawa talaga AFP, sobra daming trabaho pati trabaho ng ibang ahensya ng goberno ay ginagawa ng AFP, katulad nalang pag gawa ng mga kalsada, paaralan at pagbigay serbisyung medical sa mamayan. Tapos may mga taong bayan pa na puro nalang batikos at sisi sa AFP.
