  • why is a remake of a world 2 level in world 7?

    either this game is way too easy, or you've got serious issues with difficulty consistency.

  • @anonymousbl00dlust I think you're a bit confused, I think you think this is a Sonic fangame or something, it's not, also look at the video's name, it says WIP, it means work in process, it means it's not complete, so it lacks enemies and stuff.

  • Hmm almost looks too similar to the original. I could'nt tell where it was a new level or not. An the music too I didn't even know it was a remix. Maybe you should try to add more stuff that's different. Like rising lava pits similar to the one's in Hill Top zone from Sonic 2. Also I see Tails has a fatigue meter on his flight that's neat.

  • i think it's supposed to be all 3 acts put together. Remember how Birabuto Bash was all 3 stages of Super Mario Land's World 1 (Birabuto Kingdom) made into one whole stage, complete with Totomesu fight?

    But, this is a WIP, so that's to be expected. Keep up the good work!

  • Not to sound petty or anything but mabye you should make the spikes a bit faster they really seem harmless right now.

  • I'll admit that they seem that way. I'm currently working on that right now and I'm getting some progress on it.

    It looks really good.

    I would suggest that you maybe have a collision block where the lava is on the top world sections, like a square below the rim of the lava. In Sonic 1 when you hit the lava in that area you would stand on top of the lava not sink down.

  • I think he's recording through the mic, And that picks up all kinda of background noise including the clak of your keys if your playing with your keyboard, And any coughing you might end up doing.

  • Lookin' awesome! But I have a few nitpicks.

    - The curved platforms that sink when you touch them don't sink in this remake, though I'm pretty sure it's already on the table for coding as I type this.

    - That Fire Shield is utterly useless against lava and fireballs, isn't it? Or is it red for some other reason? XD

    - No Crabmeats, Caterkillers, Batbrains, or uh...spiked...crawlie things?

    - Any chance of the Sonic 1 Prototype stuff (UFOs, sideways spike platforms, etc.) making it in to this?

  • - Yeah, that platform is one of the thingsthat still needs to be coded in.

    - It is, but it's just the way how it's been designed currently.

    - The enemies are on the to do list as well.

    - I don't know about that. I've seen what Sonic 1 Prototype has, but I'm not sure entirely on that.

  • Oh good the bad slow levels after green hill zone. Good job on them though, they do look quite well done

  • Jumping from one spring pad to another on a huge lava pit? Looks fun and challenging at the same time.

  • That's still being tinkered with. When everything is finalized, stuff like that will be dealth with.

    Note: Tails12 is me, it's just that Tails12 was taken on YouTube when I registered awhile back.

  • Thats my biggest worry for the whole game. Pretty much well just have to figure out whitch characters are better used on certain levels. Like this one, obviously wise to choose Sonic or Tails.
