@DAVIDTV101 Not really, actually its probably much easier. When you get a second bird, and the first one is already tame, it will see that the other bird is not afraid of you, so itll be a lot easier for it to trust you. This yellow one took me a while to tame because it was scared and alone, but when I got the other 2, they learned to trust me almost immediately because they saw that the yellow one would hop onto my hand or sit on my shoulder.
you have to give him fruits like apples or salad he will know you better, he is really young because he is shy becoz he dont move if you feel he is too quiet buy him a friend it will help him feeling better
Yes, I thought this one was very shy when I first got it, and I thought it was because it was sad and lonely. I would give it food and fruits and stuff and I thought it was just sad so I bought another friend for it. But then when I saw how they interacted, I realized that was just her personality. She just kind of sits there and doesnt like to be bothered, I guess shes more serious, and my other budgie cannot sit still! Now I have 3 and you can see their distinct personalities, its very cute!
Cool thanks I can't wait for them to go on my shoulders it will be easy cause they now know the step-up command when they want to come in the cage again they hop right on to my hand and i put them back in thanks:)
No problem! Good luck! Theyll be following you around before you know it. My parakeets wont go to anyone else but me now, even though they know everyone else that lives at my house!
Once it gets used to sitting on your hand, (it takes a while because theyre afraid at first but when you talk to them softly and move your hand slowly they learn to trust you) eventually you can slowly raise it to your shoulder and place its feet on your shoulder, off from your hand and they will hop on. They have to be comfortable with you holding them first.
You're super pretty =]
