It is a Sony HDR-XR500. 120 gb hard drive. Records up to 50 hrs. in 1080 HD. You can get it for around $1400 with 4 year protection plan, extra 10 hr. batt., UV filters, shotgun mic, etc. If you like Cannon, check out the D7. You do not need to spend a fortune on a camera, you just need a good editing program and know how to use it. I am still learning the editing program (adobe), I love this camera!
You two are so cute together. I can't wait to meet you at the Graves Mtn open house. When is it? Do you think Tripp will be there? My 8 yr old daughter thinks he's sooooo cute! Hurry with part two. I can't wait to see what everyone finds. I need to add a good rutile crystal to my collection. Can Sandy and Tripp be my personal tour guide? I'll bring a nice picnic for them. If I don't have any luck, do you think I could trade some fire agate for a rutile crystal? I found a lot in Arizona.
Tripp will be at the Open House selling minerals with his dad. Everyone sells and trades minerals at the Open House, so even if you don't find rutile, I'm sure someone will trade with you, but I'm betting you will find some nice stuff.
Wonderful!!! Well done and professional like. :) Makes me wish I had gone. (Smile during your introduction you two, too cute together not to.) Can't wait for Bessemer City.
That looks fun , quite different from digging out here in Colorado. Most of our digs are in areas that are difficult to get more than 15 people into, however we get some great stuff , just different than that wonderful specimens you show. Thanks for the memories!!
In a world of wonder...it's always inspiring to see others having a love for the Earth....Collecting the specimans of stone, quartz and gems....is for only those with the same passion...even with the aches at the end of the day....one is reminded...that to be a true Rock Hound...one must balance the pain with the joy of the well earned treasures that we have reaped! Thanks for the share!
thanks minchic, the high def definately makes a big difference, as long as you load it right. I see a lot of videos that say they are high def but don't give you the option to view as high def??
Very well done! music, production quality, everything is great. One of the best treasure hunting shows I have seen on YT.

thats great! I plan to be there, will you guys be there also?
mineralchic 2 years ago
I will be there selling minerals and fossils, Sandy will probably be with me 8^)

LOADS better production quality than the old GOLD FEVER or GOLD PROSPECTING shows on tv. Like those too but I would rather dig for minerals anyway.

Thanks wcgems! I like the minerals and fossils both and plan to do a lot of shows on both, stay tuned 8^)
