i think why people make negative comments, not that kenny isnt a great singer or preformer but the music put to the lyrics of this song are not of the country sounding style. It has a rock ballad type of feel, or emo feel, so hearing tyler ward, dallas green, simple plan etc has that sound to it

Kenny's version is mellow, melancholic, sad, wistful. Tyler Wards version is more of a vocally obvious sadness, more in your face. It's a different type of emotion.
