The whole movie is entertaining for all ages, it's a feast for the eyes, it has a marvelous screenplay, dazzling sound, has an important political theme in it, imaginative premises, and a timeless love story.

@adrianlindsaylohan Personally, I prefer to have a few very intense, extremely well developed themes than a broad range of good ones. Of course, I can see why you would pick wall-e as #1, but I could never bring myself to do that. Iron Giant is the essence of my childhood; It holds sentimental value for me.

The gangster picture is such a side genre it isn't even worth mentioning compared to a genre as massive as sci fi ? HORROR why didn't they replace I dunno sports or fucking courtroom drama with say HORROR!!! An important genre of film and storytelling. Referring to EPIC as a genre is embarrassing. EPIC is not a genre in any classical since. It's a sense of place you get when your watching a film even a subtle moment and a small movie can feel epic if shot properly. This list sucks.

Gangster genre is a HUGE part of American cinema, just because it doesn't have huge numbers of films doens't make it any less important. And epic deserves its own list because while Platoon and Apocalypse Now are both about Vietnam they are still VERY different kinds of movies. Horror would've been a wasted list, those movies are trash.

im sorry, but some horror movies aren't trash. there have been a lot of classic horror films, like psycho, the birds, jaws, night of the living dead, and many others. true, the genre has become notable for trash, like many of the horror movies we're getting nowadays and some old campy ones, but there are horror movies that have become extremely influential and well-known.

@filmvideogamesbooks Horror hasn't really become trash. It's just evolved into a subgenre where bodily horror is the only selling point to get people to flock to the theater. But there's a difference between suspense and shock and bodily horror is just a form of shock with no suspense.

Gone with the wind is the best movie (and book) ever made. ( I know lawrence of arabia was chosen the best epic, but still...) It's just...amazing, it's great, it's so...I just think it represents the golden age of Hollywood and what cinematic industry can do; Transports us to another era and make us feel the characters emotions.
