Saw them at the Warfield in SF in 1991, the year they broke up. There were at the top of their game. For me, the break up was officially the end of the best era in pop: the 80s, even though Paul went on to record some great music post 'mats. Long live 80s music and The Replacements!
I think this their best album.A lot of replacement purists will say Let it be is their best or Pleased to meet me but just about every song on this album is a gem
@baxtersave96 No question! But that doesn't put it in the same league with Let it Be or Tim. Pleased to Meet Me has about the same ratio of "good" to "forgettable" songs, but those two albums are simply flawless, front to back.
@dashofchutmeg What??? I listen to one song on Let It Be and that's I WIll Dare. Tim, however, is chock full of good songs. Then I'd take Don't Tell A Soul, then Pleased To Meet Me, then All Shook Down, then Let It Be (but only for that one song), and no others.
@maida1982a Aw hunni, I know ya hate the things your daddy does to u and your mom, but look on the bright side, when u grow up and have your own family, the cycle will continue, and that's what makes the world go around. U see my child, we upper echelon people need u lower class folks to do the filthy jobs we dont/wont do, so really, u have a PURPOSE in life! Now dontcha's feel better now that Yara expained the facts of life to ya! ;o)
