Hacking Touch-Screen Price Scanners

it would be interesting to actually access the internet from one of those things, except that there would be no reason for them to have it on one of those things. I guess i am still wondering what one do when those things are hacked.

it doesnt always have to be touch because i did it at shoprite and my grandma works there so only i konw the password and not you =)

id love to see youtube videos playing on one of these little things. oh and my work had these little PDA like price ticket things they are portable but the do run windows CE and they have a B&W touch screen on them. someday I want to try hacking one of those and going on youtube to see if videos work but they probably wont.

I have done some reasearch & ive found out that you reboot those by holding the B & C bottons (2 middle buttons) for 10 seconds and once it starts saying 'System Intialization Phase 1' hold down the A & D (first & last bottons)buttons, and then at the password screen enter the following: DDBAC (on the buttons not the touch screen)

(continued)and then touch OK and it will take you to the Windows CE desktop with the icons and you can open Windows Media Player or IE and go to any website, I tried it at JCPenny's and it worked -KioskHacker A.K.A KeyonDMorris

Some JCP's got smart & changed the default password, but at Sear's they're scanners still have the default password & I hacked it today and was on YouTube but it didnt have flash :( . Oh & just because it doesnt beeps doesnt mean that it isnt touch screen, Sears had thiers on mute so just throwin that out there.
