@realloyd20 You've also got to understand that dogs are individuals and they'll have a drive to do a variety of tasks at times no matter what they were bred for. For ex., there's a Chihuahua that herds sheep. Seeing as how this animal looks to be in amazing shape (body condition, athletic ability) I still wouldn't consider this animal abuse unless the owner is pushing this animal to pull this amount of weight for hours on end, many days a week, which is incredibly unlikely to be the case.

@realloyd20 Yeah, I couldn't pull that much for sure, haha, but dogs are amazing animals. Even the "average" dog is way stronger than a human of the same size. As far as the Chihuahua goes, I saw a video of the little thing going to work and it was just so neat...and cute. There are also tons of breeds that do agility and dock-diving that you would never think of...some of them may not win against the more "athletic" breeds, but they still try and do a wonderful job.

Some people just seem to think that having an animal do anything besides laying around the house is animal abuse which couldn't be further from the truth.

You can rest assured that any trainer that can train a dog of this calibre also knows the ins and outs of it's temperment and needs. This means that it gets everything it needs in the way of other excercise, a good balanced meal plan, and most importantly a MOTIVATED family enviroment. This dog will love doing this for the rest of its life.

@realloyd20 You've also got to understand that dogs are individuals and they'll have a drive to do a variety of tasks at times no matter what they were bred for. For ex., there's a Chihuahua that herds sheep. Seeing as how this animal looks to be in amazing shape (body condition, athletic ability) I still wouldn't consider this animal abuse unless the owner is pushing this animal to pull this amount of weight for hours on end, many days a week, which is incredibly unlikely to be the case.

@realloyd20 Yeah, I couldn't pull that much for sure, haha, but dogs are amazing animals. Even the "average" dog is way stronger than a human of the same size. As far as the Chihuahua goes, I saw a video of the little thing going to work and it was just so neat...and cute. There are also tons of breeds that do agility and dock-diving that you would never think of...some of them may not win against the more "athletic" breeds, but they still try and do a wonderful job.

You can rest assured that any trainer that can train a dog of this calibre also knows the ins and outs of it's temperment and needs. This means that it gets everything it needs in the way of other excercise, a good balanced meal plan, and most importantly a MOTIVATED family enviroment. This dog will love doing this for the rest of its life.
