differences r that the sidekick id is customizable & the sk3 isnt. But then again the sidekick 3 has a camera & the sidekick id doesnt. the sk3 also has bluetooth & the sidekick id doesnt. yes it can be used as a phone,the diff. is the id doesnt have a camera or mp3, and yes the sidekick slide and sidekick 4 are coming out
