  • See you in tea.

  • Fucking shithouse

  • This is the best song of "Pure", absolutely spiritual, twisted and desolate: in one word, DIVINE

  • this is beautiful!

  • i see where ya coming from, but if you had seen Godflesh live...

  • My favorite band!!!!! god damned :0

    ....old stuff rule!!!

  • the guy in the white shirt, is he trying to puke or what?

  • Godflesh rocks!!!

  • Great band. best industrial group and I love streetcleaner. Its music that is not for sissies!

  • lol the only thing cool about danzig is glen getting knocked the fuck out by the sec guard on you tube.danzig doesn't cum close to godflesh.esp with glen's sissy voice.

  • early Swans albums, Grill (swiss band, not easy to find), Alboth, Scorn,Prong, OLD's formula(earache),techno animal's 'ghosts'...

  • very hard to follow...

  • I think Robert Hampson really damages Godflesh live. I´ve heard a bunch of bootlegs with him playing live with Godflesh and his guitar parts always sound out of place, totally ugly, and even out of synch.

    like in this video.

On the albuns his parts don´t sound any weird at least (if i remember correctly he only played/recorded a few songs on Pure and Cold Worls right?)

  • cold world

  • Robert was on a few songs of Pure... the mix of that lp is TERRIBLE.

As with the sound of this clip!

I saw Loop and Godflesh many times, he was never out of synch! A very tight player I would say

  • With Robert Hampson playing stuff from PURE???? GOOD GODFLESH!!!

  • I consider the music very abrassive and comfortable (even this sounds contrary). I like to know that there are people as me in the world who truly enjoy this music! Mexican fan here!

  • when i first heard this song i actually had to sit down coz my legs went weak with amazment.this is music that i had in my head for years but when i heard this it was nearly a religious experience.

  • I understand EXACTLY how you feel . . .

  • and i understand you

  • It is quite a unique sound, ej? I've discovered this genre with NIN... NIN has stolen my heart, Godflesh and White Zombie did too.

Have you got any tips about groups in the industrial/ experimental rockscene ?

  • You want propper industrial listen to Einsturzende Neubauten ('hause der liege' is a good one)

  • HAHA. Some friends who saw them in the eighties in Berlin recommended them to me, and i'm going with them in may to Brussels to see them.

But the song is good, first listen.

  • I didn't. He asked about industrial groups so I told him one. Calm your jets. Einsturzende Neubauten don't suck anyway, if you think that then you don't know anything about music.

  • yeah sure, I recommend these bands, all of them are experimenting with rock and metal music: Jesu, Fear Factory, Machinae Supremacy, Ministry, Samael, Static-X, Tool, Opeth, Cynic, Buckethead, Mnemic, Sybreed, Meshuggah, Scarve...

  • tips as an outsider.....dont try to sound like godflesh or any crossover group.....try SWANS on for size they created this style in a big way

  • i didn't realize the SWANS had so such of an influence.

  • @damageboyinsj No if I want to form a band that has Godflesh as a major influence i'll damn do that. Dont tell artists what to do.

  • we watched final/jesu springtime 06 in the netherlands, payed 90 bucks for fuel and just 8 euro each for the ticket for the show. Wish there were way more people making half as great music as justin does, for real!

  • I remember seeing Godflesh around this time in London, with Robet Hampson on guitar wearing a Pussy Galore T-Shirt. Happy times!

  • this is my anthem thank you for posting this

  • Not to disrect any of the other musicians involved, but to me, the name of the projects change over time, but whatever name Justin uses for a particular project, it always sounds like Justin and it's always almost always good. At the same time, I too like the old stuff best.

  • they only broke up cuz the bassist wanted to go to college and move on with his life it wasn't like they had a disagreement. justin decided that it just wasn't godflesh without George Christian Green.

  • a follow-up here, Benny/Ben is George's nickname, so thats the same person there for anyone who may be confused. I talked to Justin on the Jesu tour and he told me that Ben "got a real job" and is now a social worker, and of course they still talk.

  • three or four years ago I came upon a solo album by Ben Green which came out on neurot records (neurosis ' label), it was recorded on bass and eight-track, very dark ambient stuff, quite amazing and related to Ben's interest for alchemy. sorry but I can't remember its title. I noticed he thanked JK broadrick which made me think they hadn't clashed.

  • Possibly his new band Vitriol?

  • it was supposed to be an amiable seperation. i have always wanted to hear this album.

  • Vitriol it is, on neurot records, you can hear two or three excerpts on the website.

  • one of the best bands ever.Justin Broadrick should come to terms with his old bandmates and return.Jesu is good but is half as good as good ole GodFlesh was

  • They never had any acctuall differences, Ben just came to the conclusion that he didnt want to do Godflesh anymore.

  • Great song from "Pure". One of my favorites.
