it's a scary thought that maybe China, getting all that money from major western corporations to bring business and manufacturing to their country, are researching, creating and building up their military power, enough resources, materials and weapons to replace anything they will lose in combat, and in the next 10 or 20 years begin invading the entire asia and europe and the great cocks of the USA or Russia won't be able to stop it due to China having nukes as well...

@Shepuz China is grossly overated. 700 million of its people are peasent farmers and maybe 300 are part of a new middle class who want BMW's and Starbucks not war. Not to mention China has no reason to invade Europe due to their capital being invested in China. If Russia and China teamed up together that would be a sigificant threat to NATO perhaps. I doubt Europeans would tolerate a Chinese invasion and most likely would mobilise and defend themselves.

@Jimmyretired With the utmost respect, I really doubt England can do much against China and Russia. You can't even win a war against the Iraqis or the Afghans. You may have beaten China along with 3 other nations in the Opium War, but that was a long time ago, England has lost much of its empire and currently are losing Scotland. England is not as great as it was one century ago, and that's the truth :(

Sure they have a LOT of men, and this video shows the most dedicated (fanatical) of them who have been forced to learn discipline and then put the best of those on display to show how good they are but underneath all that, they're probably no more than second-rate troops with inadequate weapons made in a toy factory.

China has the money to spend on whatever military equipment they want considering the money they have now and their accounts receivable from US treasury holdings (which I believe is 1.2 trillion last time I checked). China also has 7 million military personnel on hand. In relation to Iraq in the 90s, China has a lot more money and a lot more military personnel, so I'd say the situation might be different with China.
