  • wtf this guy is garbage!!! maybe with aband hes good but this... this is complete shit

  • @toxicblack66 don't worry if it's over your head toxicblack66, "i'll c u when u get there", as oscar wilde once said

  • 0:51 BASS DROP

  • people gonna have nightmares. oh no!

  • you know when its real

  • I saw this guy live last night, I must say it was an amazing performance. It was the whole group though, not just black pus

  • I JUST REALISED I HAVE THAT SAME DRUMSET. how neat.

  • this is great, i wonder what all the people watching thought lol

  • kinda weird seeing brian polaying on a traditional drum kit!

  • Kinda sound like a mix between Twisted Sister, Right Said Fred, Ugly Kid Joe, and Septic Death.

  • i died

  • i came

  • thats a good look for him, really

  • Love It!

  • does anyone know what Brian is using to manipulate his voice?....that small black box on top of his base drum?

  • its a mic in his mask

  • sounds like mindflayer's 1999 animals revenge @ 0:53

  • i wonder if anyone clapped when he was done?

  • If they did you wouldn't know, no hearing left...

  • I always wonder if Brian gets embarrassed playing for crowds that have no idea what's going on...

  • same here. and it really looks like this particular crowd has NO fucking idea

  • he seems to be in another universe anyway... what a beautiful alien

  • @xbyiu97 it's expected.

  • @xbyiu97 no way, he lives for that shit. Getting weird responses from a crowd just means they don't understand and have no idea what the fuck is going on.

  • @xbyiu97 wow. do you actually think anyone thats at this show really actually gets everything he has going on? everyone there is blown away. everyone there has never seen a set like that. no one can evn come close to analyzing this genius. so, why the fuck would he be embarrased to do wht he loves to do, what he was born to do. your comment makes me wanna fuckin punch through something. your a fucking moron. that shit would probably make his dick hard and he would get even crazier. dumass

  • This is great stuff!

  • I consider this an important and poignant moment in music.

  • baby them greek folk are fucking stunned baby! they be stunnin

  • hah, did he throw up at the end?

  • everyone there is like wtf

  • I lol'd!

  • that was meant as a reply to bskamla

  • nope. its black pus. its only the drummer from lightning bolt, Brian Chippendale. Its his solo project. Notice no bass player.

  • this stuff is amazing!

  • first Black Pus vid on youtube?

    Didnt find ANY when searching!

    Finally...

    Thanks!

  • there's another video called brian chippendale that's about twenty seconds long, but aside from that it looks like that's it

  • he's got a drum trigger that generates long tones heavy tones.

  • Yes: A Death By Audio "Interstellar Overdriver" distortion/fuzz pedal. Probably just hooked to a contact mic on his bass drum. When kicked, it gives off that nice fuzzy low drone sound. It can even be heard if you turn up your bass while listening to Lightning Bolt, though the sound is more emphasized//modified in Mindflayer//Black Pus.

  • Specicifally, it's a coron DS-7 drum synth, with integrated trigger. These days, he runs it through the Interstellar Overdrive, if not other stuff (I've seen him put his boss octave on the synth). None of the equipment chippendale or Brinkman use in Mindflayer is modified...it's just dirty.

  • Ah, so then what does Brinkman use//hold in Mindflayer? Cause I've really been wanting to know that for about 2 years now.

  • The mindflayer setup was an interesting application of drum triggering: for mindflayer, many or all of chip's drums are triggered, and Brink uses a mixer to select which triggers feed into his Pearl SC-1 Syncussion (the holy grail of drum-synths). So, Mindflayer is effectively Chip getting re-mixed/extra-distorted by Brinkman. So Chip's single trigger on kick is a byproduct of working with brink.

  • wow cool, are those funky noises coming from his mic? or is there some kind of base player hiding in the corner lol

  • No...it's Black Pus, Brian Chippendale's solo side project. I see no bass player.

  • yeah my bad
