Thank you......I cry mostly when watching on TV someone doing something really good for humanity, I kind of envy them in a good sense....I would really love doing something similar
@NoUseForAName06 I think you're awesome. Me too.. yeah!!! i don't have to be miserable anymore. now the real work begins... telling everyone else that they already know....they are OK wake up and be ok Everybody meet me and you and all of us..
guys this is something that cannot be teached it's a relationship with yourself in my opinion you should never cry get angry get sad get depressed get happy...
the point is your are no other than your body and mind and when you realise that nothin outside your body matters that much that's true freedom to realise that you exist and you are you're own universe and with it comes complete responsibility and control over all aspect in your life in other words you are you're own GOD .
@zackphoenix79 CONTINUED. your question is hard because the teaching is not about understanding presence, but reminding you to be present. To be present briefly might seem pointless, and you will find your mind asking this question too, "How can i live like that"!. But as more of it flows into your life you will not need to know anymore. Questions are good, let them point you, if they become a need to understand you won't find answers directly. If you cry, let it be don't resist :). peace.
@zackphoenix79 No worries mate. If you try to relate on the level of understanding it will be mind stuff and will give you endless amounts of confusion. Your mind is saying "i need to know!, tell me!, I need to understand!" :). At the point when you realise your mind is doing this, you have found the place you are looking for. Can you explain that place when you realise this?. You cant because there is nothing to explain. A place that doesn't need to understand.
Meh... He didn't address one of the key reasons why people cry--because the HURT. It's ok and natural to cry when you are SAD. And it's ok to be sad sometimes. Although he didn't outright say so, he seems to be a little bit in denial about this fact...
That's the most animation I've seen out of Eckhart in 4 years. That was nice to see him wave his hands in the air because it was such a pleasant surprise. :-)
Crying when witnessing a beautiful achievement, something that is inspirational and uplifting, when seing the true nature of our humanity. Emotions that are beyond words and rationalisation.
@zackphoenix79 hey, some help with your question :). I wouldn't worry about it, all you need to know is that it is ok to cry just be aware that it is not from some form of suffering, this would mean the suffering has taken you over, if this is the case become present (give your attention to this moment) or in more extreme cases accept "what is" accept you don't feel very nice inside, you can't do anything about what is, the realisation is the success, eventually the mental noise will ease. :)
@MrMusicobsession So I just read this again and, I could give you a more direct answer. The answer is his tears are not from suffering, his tears might be from sadness or from joy, suffering doen't mean you won't feel sad it just means it is from a deeper place. So here is the situation, now i accept what is, let the sadness be, from there don't make stories about the situation. eg. "This is all the governments fault!". Its the mental commentry that follows causeing the suffering. Make sense?.
@zackphoenix79 people dont lose suffering during this life, but eckhart talks about how to cope with it, which is to accept and feel it. To feel the pain until it becomes what it is, which is less significant, but it still exists. But it becomes bareable rather than unbearable.
Hahaha that movie was marley and me.... i cryed aswell :P

I think it simply comes down to whether the crying comes from the ego or not.
