Phantom, I am having a problem with my spring gun, I tune the hop-up in one day and all the days after that it shoots lower than when I first tuned it. My suspicion is my Bucking or Hop-up rubber is too soft, I shoot around 410 FPS with .30's. I had a medium hardness bucking and I switched it for a PDI bucking, the PDI one was significantly softer than the other one. could this be the problem? I really need your advice on this one.
Remember that when you first pick the spring rifle up after it has been resting, it may not provide full power, due to spring fade. It may take a few shots to get the power upto normal. Did you tune the hop with just a few shots, or when the rifle had plenty of pellets through it? Did teh following days just get a few shots through it?
I don't think the bucking being softer would mean anything other than faster wear. Perhaps the rubber has simply bedded in.
@phantomTMA It took me a while to tune it, so yeah i think it got warmed up. and the days after I probably put 15-20 rounds through it and it was still shooting low
@phantomTMA okay, one last question, it seems like a resting rifle would have more power because it seems like if you let a spring sit, it would get more stiff and provide more power when cocked
No, it takes a while for the springs temper to kick in. It's like it takes a while for the spring to get it's "memory" back. Hence why guns that have been in storage a long time, can take a lot of shots for the spring to come out of hibernation. Trust me.
@phantomTMA So then would you recommend sighting my scope so it hits center where I want it when the spring isnt warmed up? since airsoft snipers don't take many shots.
I would simply get used to warming the rifle up on the firing range with a magazine of 30 pellets, before everygame. I would have it zeroed for it being warmed up. Just fire 30 shots of 0.20g ammo to warm it up at low cost.
Phantom, I really would like to purchase the same exact rifle and the same parts for upgrading it, but I can't find the PCS bolt adjustment because it has been banned. Is there any hope of similar performance with other upgrades? Please send me a private message explaining which upgrade parts I should purchase.
The hop conversion kit is the most essential item (obviously you have to put a VSR rubber and barrel in at the same time). The hop up system is more important than the regular m700 tightbores.
I had a KJW m700p but found it very much more encumbering than the m40a1 (hollow plastic stock). M700 is still nice though.
hey phantom...so how can i get an upgraded barrel to fit in there? I can barely find ANY upgrades for this gun on any website whatsoever and id like to increase my accuracy. Also how accurate is it stock? and what upgrades exactly do you have in yours? thanks alot!! :D
You need the king arms or 2roy hop conversion kit. With that you can fit VSR10 compatible inner barrels (555mm length) and VSR10 hop rubbers (fit the nineball). Also fit the powerpack magazine parts. It shoots far less consistantly stock. Check our "stalk and shoot" film to see it factory standard in action.
what is your opinion on the kjw m700. i am looking for a rifle that is relatively low priced and runs on gas but is still good. also do you know if the tanaka 27 round magazines will work with the kjw m700.
The KJW is OK but not very consistant power or accurate either. I used to own one. Change out the hop rubber to a VSR one (of your choice). Indeed the tanaka mags are far far better than the crap KJW ones. You may have to do the odd bit of filing to get them to fit properly. I stick to the 11 shot tanaka mags as they are more consistant (factory standard). My tanaka can shoot rings around a KJW.
@bestrangerdx : STEALTH, is still sat on a shelf, in someone else's office :( to be honest we are now wanting to make it with HD and put the existing stuff in smaller boxes in the corner (to retain high resolution). So sorry this has dragged on this long, but I am in someone elses hands at this stage. It should all be worth it in the end. Our problem is being perfectionist lol. I hope to buy a new camera soon...
and what happens if i don't use another barrel and hopup? because if i would buy this rifle its hard to get those upgrades because of our law...is the difference so big?
does it even make sense to buy one without the upgrades. Because with a price of 400 euros there really have to be a difference to my utg l96...
Without upgrades it is nothing special. Check out the m40a1 stalk and shoot film (its a bog standard rifle in it). With the new hop it is a far far better rifle.
No, they both are m700 actions on different stocks. Barrels are slightly different lengths but are best replaced with the 555mm VSR type when converting the hop system.
ahh ill just upgrade my rifle and start use madbull 0.43g bullets they are really accurate but with my 400fps 0.20g i cant shoot the 0.43g for more than about 35 metres. I will just get a zero trigger teflon fylinder and 150ms spring Good Hunting ;)
only problem with the 0.43g is that they are black and therefore you fail to see if a consistant wind deviates them and how top correct your aim point. The 150 spring and zero trigger will be worth it. Remember to get a new spring guide and cylinder head too. I have no experience of the mp001
i am looking for a tanaka m40a1 or m24 sws but cant find any in stock. i know redwolfairsoft carries both rifles, but both have been out of stock for quite some time. any suggestions on where i can buy 1? i live in over in Florida, if that helps any.
i have a mp001 sniper. its a really beginner rifle but its pretty good i moded the trigger so it became really easy to press and im planning you silence modding it. But the question is Phantom what do you think would be a great novice weapon for me when i get more skilled? Good Hunting;)
I think it is very heavy/encumbering, yet has obsolete internals (basicly APS2) and the worst bolt of any rifle I have ever seen. The trigger is also horrid. Buy a VSR10 if you want performance and practicality.
@phantomTMA sorry to disagree with you phantom but i have a Classic Army m24 and i would have to say it is a great rifle it had its problems at first but once i tuned it right it turned into a very accurate weapon
@phantomTMA yes the trigger is light and has a great feel iv put about 2000 rounds through it and its not wearing at all. As for the bolt yes it likes to go all over the place but i dont seem to mind this is not a beginners gun though because it needs to be cleaned constantly
The K98 series cannot fit the king arms vsr hop conversion (only the best gun kit). I would buy the m40a1. There is a big price difference, but if you spend the spare cash on upgrades, it will be better than the K98.
You can get a practical rifle (bar10) firing nicely for a fraction of the price. I got many parts for my tanaka, cheaper than they are today and at better exchange rates too. I think most Airsoft rifles are over priced and despite having a fair few, they have all been bargains compared to modern prices. My advice is get a BAR10 as a first rifle. Gas rifles are less practcal, with only the super easy/slow bolt pull being the advantage over stable spring powered platforms imo.
@phantomTMA I have had a bar-10 with a number of upgrades for a few years now, I want a gas PCS tanaka m700 police model, what do you think of this rifle/make and how quiet would you say it would be? why do you prefere gas over spring BTW
i live in america and the shiping is rediculis do you think it is worth the money and can it run on green gas because it shoots harder an thats the only gas i can buy well besides propaine
Yes, shipping is high and then youi have to pay import tax too. These rifles are NOT cheap and then you have to fit the other parts to get t firing top class. As you hear me say in this film; it runs on green gas.
What the muzzle velocity ? and how much doese it weigh ?? correct me if i'm wrong, but it look like an 8.8 lbs to me,the special veil wrapped around your head and body will help breaks up your outline into shape unfamiliar to the eyes, but i don't know about your funny looking cap mate.A man on a mission, good hunting mate.Lovely music by the way...
The stock tanaka barrels are 6.07mm. However, the problem is not the bore size/quality; it is the single point hop system that tanaka works use. I advise you put abit more money in and get far better results by getting the king arms hop conversion kit, nineball purple rubber and a VSR10 555mm long inner barrel. It IS worth it.
You will have to find the parts yourself as costs and supply vary. Disassembly is not hard. There is a guide somewhere online for fitting the hop conversion kit.
It is only worth it, if you are going to play as much as possible. Many people buy bolt action rifles and then either just end up using an AEG or sell it at a loss.
No, as long as you are careful when removing the pins, it doesn't break. You can buy replacement part. The creation one is apparrantly the best, but maybe out of production.
You should try biovals and a 6.01 barrel. Biovals were made to work best with 6.01 vsr barrels, and they are amazing. They're also pretty kind to the environment that is so precious to your concealment. Some people say that biovals double feed, but only if you don't use e-poxy to repair/reshape the feed regulator as it wears over time.
Brilliant review. Its good to see such a detailed review about the gun and not the box and such.Back to my question,im getting this gun and planing to install hpa\controlled co2 system would the stock guts handle the power or would you recommend upgrades?
The Tanaka can cope as long as the pressure isn't too high. After a while the hammer spring cannot push the impact plates due to the pressure and may require you to fit the hammer spring from the g&g powerpack kit.
hey could i still get the nineball hop rubber and 2roy hop kit with out the pcs bolt? and is there another bolt upgrade cuase i want to change the bolt so i could control the fps that is still out please help thanks for donating your time -Zack
Yes, they will work fine with a non PCS model. It will give you full power but will no means of adjusting other than choosing which gas to use. (Use Abbey Predator Gas or 134a for less power). Only other way to adjust power is to fit a HPA or regulated co2 system. You could also fit your own PCS inside the bolt. Open it up and you can see it is threaded. Get a bolt that is the correct thread size and you may have to grind down the end of it. Use it to limit flow out of the nozzle.
If you think about it; the higher powered your scope, the less arc ,you can see through the scope. This limits how far, you can actualy lob shoot (ie. aim above the target at long range). As long as you can see the pellets, it doesn't really matter what the magnification of the scope is. Once you either can't see them landing in the scope or track them, you have reached the limit of that scope. Sometimes you feel you need higher power, but other times you need a wide field of view. Good Hunting
If it is your first bolt action get a vsr/bar is the best advice I can give you. The tanaka gas rifle needs the hop conversion to come close and then fit the power pack parts in the magazine for better consistancy. I have fitted a PDI 554mm 6.05 mid bore so cannot comment if the 6.01 is better. The pdi website suggests 6.01 is better for power while wider bores give better accuracy. Upto you what you think I guess. the 05 was much cheaper.
i have a jg bar 10 running at around 330-345...I want to get a better inner barrel (is there one you would advise)....I am getting a nineball hop rubber....but I would like to know if you think the super grand master pellets would be too heavy for this setup.
I bought my m40 before the PCS was banned. They cannot be bought. The power bolt is fine, if you do not want to fit the vsr hop conversion. However, if you DO want to convert it cannot have the nozzle changed and is therefore useless. I would not buy one. Good Hunting ;)
Yes. The conversion kit requires you replace the nozzle at the end of the bolt with one in the kit. this will give you full power if you have a restricted model. The 2ROY or KING ARMS kist are worth every penny.
TM VSR10 or JG BAR10 is best for that money. Upgrade sears and fit a 130 spring. Firefly hard hop rubber and inner barrel are worth upgrading on the BAR10 too.
Pre ban are nice BUT you don't need pre ban. Just get the modern export models and fit the nozzle out of the 2roy/pax/king arms hop conversion kit. This will make the gun full bore and you can then down power it by opening up the bolt and detensioning the hammer spring guide (be sure to unlock it before adjusting). Then you have same abilities as PCS preban.
I'm currently trying to find an M40A1 in the United States, but I'm having no luck whatsoever. I HATE the AICS with a burning passion and I'm so desperate I'm considering modifying a KJW M700 to a Frankenstein.
you mean companies in the US? or any company, cause if you google tanaka m40a1, you can buy it off a couple of cites, like redwolf, wgc, airosftextreme, etc
You have to look around to see what is available in your country or by import. Some things I buy from the far east; my m40a1 was one of them. I got it from redwolf. It is a pre ban PCS. I got it when the exchange rate was about as good as it got along with the second mag :)
I got my 2ROY vsr10 hop kit, from an individual in Hawiai. The PDI barrel from Redwolf. The hop rubber from firesupport. Bipod and scope were rare second hand bargains. With the gun sock from Ebay.
Not as good as the JG BAR10 or original TM vsr10 imo. Not all parts on the mb03 are cloned, I'm not 100% sure as I have not studied many of the more recent chinese rifles.
Hi, I was looking into buying a tanaka now that i have gained eperience but i was wondering, which do you reccomend? the tanaka m40a1 or the tanaka m700 aics. Thanks.
AICS is too heavy and only takes the problematic long magazines. It is more expensive and I don't like thumb through stocks either. So guess the m40a1 every time for me. Choice is yours. Good Hunting ;)
hi, i am interested in the video if it is still a possibility, i am a new-ish sniper with a vsr 10 g spec with full PSS10 internals, i am also interested in the tanaka m40a1, cheers for the excellent videos :)
hi, i'm interested in the video if it is still a possibility, i am a new-ish sniper witha vsr 10 g spec and would really use any tips that may be included, cheers for the excellent videos
i already have a bar10 and i broke it, it was an accident though, i was in a skirmish and 1 of the enemy was close to me i took out my back up mp5, put my bar10 on a log it fellmand some how it fell and broke. and im tying to get an opinion from a couple of people on what an expierienced player should get.
Buy a VSR10 if you want brilliant performance. Expect to upgrade it to up the power reliably. Zero trigger.
I recall a sergeant coming into a room and kicking over 2 rifles that had been stood up by recruits. He shouted "Oh Dear. Never stand your rifle up, when it falls it loses its zero."
I never stood my rifle up or put it in a position it could get knocked over, after that.
Phantom.. please reply to this. i would like the m40A1 and i saw the video of you shooting it at 70m. Is that the distance it goes if you buy the stock version? or did you upgrade. and if so where?
It fires 70m out of the box, but not very consistantly. Once you fit the VSR hop conversion kit it becomes far more accurate and opens up flat range. Good Hunting ;)
See the conversion kit.. im not that good with putting stuff together... so if you could which u might now.. you could buy the M40 and put the conversion kit in. and i could buy it from you. also where do YOU buy the M40? i would like the black version please. also. do you happen to have a site that you buy ghillie suits from that are cheap but very detailed and authentic? Please reply back because i would very much like to be a sniper but never able to find the right gear. Thanks Phantom
I suggest spring rifles are the best platform. Gas has more variarbles and if you ask me is a more suitable second rifle to own/tinker with. Of course I am talking about the spring VSR series, as I think other spring platforms are not as good.
i found i site where its selling it 4 $380 i thinking about getting it or Ares .338 which would u reccoimend cause i can have the .338 shoot 800 fps on red gas and it comes with a bipod? man right when im getting a gun a better gun pops right up im so lucky :)
I have read lots of people have problems with the AW338 by Ares. Stick to the Tanaka option if you want it to perform at the best level rather than be a paper weight. Good Hunting ;)
how do you suggest i attach foilage to my rifle? i Have a sniper challenge coming up and i want to be prepared. i have a ghillie suit, how do you attach YOUR foliage? just stick it in the ghillie? thanks if you can help me
Do you know if the tanaka extended magazine will work with the kjw m700?

I have seen some people use it, although it didn't fit that well. I suggest the shorter tanaka magazine is the one to go for as it is more stable.

@phantomTMA i just looked up all the prices...... i just had a heart attack, but if you say its worth it, it most likely is. thanks again
TheOnlyEliteSniper 2 years ago
It is only worth it, if you are going to play as much as possible. Many people buy bolt action rifles and then either just end up using an AEG or sell it at a loss.
Prices have gone up since I bought all my parts.

whats the lowest fps you can get
killerjuggernaut336 2 years ago
Some people have used 134a gas and set the PCS lower to achieve only 300fps.

Hello Phantom.
Thanks to this video I decide to get Tanaka M40A1. Do you have any problems whit that plastic frame part (Part n.91) what is around the hopup unit ??
ToivonenTJT 2 years ago
No, as long as you are careful when removing the pins, it doesn't break. You can buy replacement part. The creation one is apparrantly the best, but maybe out of production.
Hope you find the m40a1 as practical as I do.

Thanks Mark
markoriordan101 2 years ago
The Tanaka can cope as long as the pressure isn't too high. After a while the hammer spring cannot push the impact plates due to the pressure and may require you to fit the hammer spring from the g&g powerpack kit.
Good hunting ;)

hey could i still get the nineball hop rubber and 2roy hop kit with out the pcs bolt? and is there another bolt upgrade cuase i want to change the bolt so i could control the fps that is still out please help thanks for donating your time -Zack
darkspinesonic138 2 years ago
Yes, they will work fine with a non PCS model. It will give you full power but will no means of adjusting other than choosing which gas to use. (Use Abbey Predator Gas or 134a for less power). Only other way to adjust power is to fit a HPA or regulated co2 system. You could also fit your own PCS inside the bolt. Open it up and you can see it is threaded. Get a bolt that is the correct thread size and you may have to grind down the end of it. Use it to limit flow out of the nozzle.

how do you shoot such far targets with such a low power scope? nothing against them at all just wondering
nathankhalsa33 2 years ago
If you think about it; the higher powered your scope, the less arc ,you can see through the scope. This limits how far, you can actualy lob shoot (ie. aim above the target at long range). As long as you can see the pellets, it doesn't really matter what the magnification of the scope is. Once you either can't see them landing in the scope or track them, you have reached the limit of that scope. Sometimes you feel you need higher power, but other times you need a wide field of view. Good Hunting

thanks ill probably get one maybe with a zoom just in case when i get a jg bar

the c amo cloth u put on ur rifle is hand made or u can buy it somewhere?

It is just Camo Tape and a gun sock off ebay.

phantomTMA 2 years ago
@phantomTMA tnx a lot. with it i do not need useless paint.
SniperRulez89 2 years ago
Nice rifle, could be tempted to get 1 myself. Do they come with wooden stock?
beezman84 2 years ago
If you buy the LTR m700 version it is real wood. There is a fake wood (plastic) stocked Tanaka m40a1 too.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
i added you, do you recommend a upgraded M700 with a 6.01 tightbore and upgraded hop up?
kulbren 2 years ago
If it is your first bolt action get a vsr/bar is the best advice I can give you. The tanaka gas rifle needs the hop conversion to come close and then fit the power pack parts in the magazine for better consistancy. I have fitted a PDI 554mm 6.05 mid bore so cannot comment if the 6.01 is better. The pdi website suggests 6.01 is better for power while wider bores give better accuracy. Upto you what you think I guess. the 05 was much cheaper.

what is best a gas sniper or a spring sniper and wich gun would you recomend of a L96 or a M700?
Qwer87100 2 years ago
Get a spring BAR10 or VSR10. Avoid L96 unless you get the brand new tokyo marui version.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
M700.. but get a tightbore for it

i have a jg bar 10 running at around 330-345...I want to get a better inner barrel (is there one you would advise)....I am getting a nineball hop rubber....but I would like to know if you think the super grand master pellets would be too heavy for this setup.
FRVSniperNI 2 years ago
I am also installing a damper cylinder head and 1 extra damper.
FRVSniperNI 2 years ago
Get either a laylax 6.03mm or PDI 6.05mm of the 430mm length. Use a firefly hard vsr hop rubber. 0.29g SGM will be fine. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
ok thanks alot...so you think the firefly hard is better than a nineball at 330-345 fps?(on 0.2g BBs)
FRVSniperNI 2 years ago
Yes, in a vsr/bar I like the firefly better. In the tanaka I use a 9ball as the firefly deforms.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
oh great I couldn't have asked for more... thanks again!
FRVSniperNI 2 years ago
does this gun do 570fps stock or did you upgrade it?

im going to get this rifle, but im only going to get a scope and sling for it.

do you use a webtex ghillie suit for your 6mm hunting?

get an air arms s400 and play airsoft with it.
marcisgreatAA 2 years ago
I have access to several PCP air rifles and yes, they are very very accurate. However, you cannot shoot people with them ;)

phantomTMA 2 years ago
where did you get the pcs bolt and would a power bolt work well if you cant find a pcs bolt thanks -zack
darkspinesonic138 2 years ago
I bought my m40 before the PCS was banned. They cannot be bought. The power bolt is fine, if you do not want to fit the vsr hop conversion. However, if you DO want to convert it cannot have the nozzle changed and is therefore useless. I would not buy one. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
so should i just keep the regular bolt and would it still allow me to use the 2roy conversion kit thanks -zack
darkspinesonic138 2 years ago
Yes. The conversion kit requires you replace the nozzle at the end of the bolt with one in the kit. this will give you full power if you have a restricted model. The 2ROY or KING ARMS kist are worth every penny.
Good Hunting ;)

No, get a JG BAR10 instead.

phantomTMA 2 years ago
Hey Phantom, about how much money do you think this rifle would cost?
pharoah246 2 years ago
To buy new in the uk with modern prices i guess 700-900 GBP including all the bits I have (not including co2 rig).
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
what is a good airsoft sniper for max. 400 euro?
YaYCreeC 2 years ago
TM VSR10 or JG BAR10 is best for that money. Upgrade sears and fit a 130 spring. Firefly hard hop rubber and inner barrel are worth upgrading on the BAR10 too.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
I just wish it was easier to get a PreBan Tanaka.
brutalback 2 years ago
Pre ban are nice BUT you don't need pre ban. Just get the modern export models and fit the nozzle out of the 2roy/pax/king arms hop conversion kit. This will make the gun full bore and you can then down power it by opening up the bolt and detensioning the hammer spring guide (be sure to unlock it before adjusting). Then you have same abilities as PCS preban.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
Ehh, that's a lot of information.
I'm currently trying to find an M40A1 in the United States, but I'm having no luck whatsoever. I HATE the AICS with a burning passion and I'm so desperate I'm considering modifying a KJW M700 to a Frankenstein.
brutalback 2 years ago
you mean companies in the US? or any company, cause if you google tanaka m40a1, you can buy it off a couple of cites, like redwolf, wgc, airosftextreme, etc
TheOnlyEliteSniper 2 years ago
You have to look around to see what is available in your country or by import. Some things I buy from the far east; my m40a1 was one of them. I got it from redwolf. It is a pre ban PCS. I got it when the exchange rate was about as good as it got along with the second mag :)
I got my 2ROY vsr10 hop kit, from an individual in Hawiai. The PDI barrel from Redwolf. The hop rubber from firesupport. Bipod and scope were rare second hand bargains. With the gun sock from Ebay.
Good Hunting ;)

what about getting the well mb03 vsr-10
hello5893 2 years ago
Not as good as the JG BAR10 or original TM vsr10 imo. Not all parts on the mb03 are cloned, I'm not 100% sure as I have not studied many of the more recent chinese rifles.

Hi, I was looking into buying a tanaka now that i have gained eperience but i was wondering, which do you reccomend? the tanaka m40a1 or the tanaka m700 aics. Thanks.
stealthstalker1 2 years ago
AICS is too heavy and only takes the problematic long magazines. It is more expensive and I don't like thumb through stocks either. So guess the m40a1 every time for me. Choice is yours. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
Ok. thank you very much. Love your videos by the way.

hi, i am interested in the video if it is still a possibility, i am a new-ish sniper with a vsr 10 g spec with full PSS10 internals, i am also interested in the tanaka m40a1, cheers for the excellent videos :)

JG BAR10 is the one to get. the MP001 is not a complete clone.

whats a good bolt action rifle for an expierieced sniper?
brunster4 2 years ago
If you are experienced, then you already know :) If you are inexperienced, I suggest the VSR10 or BAR10
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
i already have a bar10 and i broke it, it was an accident though, i was in a skirmish and 1 of the enemy was close to me i took out my back up mp5, put my bar10 on a log it fellmand some how it fell and broke. and im tying to get an opinion from a couple of people on what an expierienced player should get.
brunster4 2 years ago
Buy a VSR10 if you want brilliant performance. Expect to upgrade it to up the power reliably. Zero trigger.
I recall a sergeant coming into a room and kicking over 2 rifles that had been stood up by recruits. He shouted "Oh Dear. Never stand your rifle up, when it falls it loses its zero."
I never stood my rifle up or put it in a position it could get knocked over, after that.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
what brand should i get it from
brunster4 2 years ago
tokyo marui.

phantomTMA 2 years ago
Phantom.. please reply to this. i would like the m40A1 and i saw the video of you shooting it at 70m. Is that the distance it goes if you buy the stock version? or did you upgrade. and if so where?
kulbren 2 years ago
It fires 70m out of the box, but not very consistantly. Once you fit the VSR hop conversion kit it becomes far more accurate and opens up flat range. Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
See the conversion kit.. im not that good with putting stuff together... so if you could which u might now.. you could buy the M40 and put the conversion kit in. and i could buy it from you. also where do YOU buy the M40? i would like the black version please. also. do you happen to have a site that you buy ghillie suits from that are cheap but very detailed and authentic? Please reply back because i would very much like to be a sniper but never able to find the right gear. Thanks Phantom
kulbren 2 years ago
would you reccomend buying a gas rifle or upgrading a spring based rifle?
xXBIakeJuiceXx 2 years ago
I suggest spring rifles are the best platform. Gas has more variarbles and if you ask me is a more suitable second rifle to own/tinker with. Of course I am talking about the spring VSR series, as I think other spring platforms are not as good.
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
I'de have to disagree with you phantom because I own a highly modded kjw m700p. I can hit a head sized target at 300 feet.
nhl4471 2 years ago
No offence, but that is a major claim. Do you have a laser range finder? What pellets do you use?
Good Hunting ;)
phantomTMA 2 years ago
None taken. Not a laser but i measured with a tape measure. I use madbull .40's at 500fps sometimes 550fps.

i found i site where its selling it 4 $380 i thinking about getting it or Ares .338 which would u reccoimend cause i can have the .338 shoot 800 fps on red gas and it comes with a bipod? man right when im getting a gun a better gun pops right up im so lucky :)
Oxstayne 2 years ago
I have read lots of people have problems with the AW338 by Ares. Stick to the Tanaka option if you want it to perform at the best level rather than be a paper weight. Good Hunting ;)
