I have 3/4" gauges and i stretched mine pretty quick but lucky that didn't happen lol. I'm not sure the actual term for this but sometimes when the lobes are stretched the cartilage from the inside gets pushed out and it looks "blown out". I've seen it before on people but not like that....

at 1stt the skin looks white, like the kind of white that you see on your knuckles when you squeeze your fists really tight; then a couple days later or the next day you see the flesh has been forced sideways through the back or the front or both & has an ugly looking "lip" thing going on. the best way to get rid of these is to either downsize, tie the lips off with string until they die & fall off, or tuck the lip in underneath inside the plug while it's healing i tucked mine in & they're gone

if you dont have holes in your ears and you want to get gauged, its easy, do an instant tunnel. pierce your ear with a 10g dermal needle and taper it up till 6g. If it looks like your ear cant take alot at 8g, just stop at 8g. Im at 8g, I had the taper in my ear for 3 or 4 days and then inserted stainless stell o-ring tunnels. Hoping to go 0g before I start trade school in July though :S

a blowout is when you litereally blow your ear inside out meaning the flesh from the inside of the ear builds up to the backside, and the hole deforms itself by twisting inside out, resulting in the "blowout," or section of tissue that appears as a flap on (generally) the backside of the piercing

There is a vein that runs along the bottom of the ear lobe. Shit you'r lucky you didn't hit it or the bottom of your ear would shrivel up.

My ear lobe started to blow out. I remover my tunnels to let them drain. Then i pinched to bottom of my lobe. All this puss came out. So i pinched harder and all this blood came out. The whole bottom of my ear was purple. So 6 months i started to streach them all over again.
