I saw that you reviewed this last year as well. I like how you reviewed them completely independently of each other...without even mentioning the other review. But curious...how would you compare the two batches?
Maple is a bit of a scary flavor for me. CBS is probably the only one with maple notes I want a bottle of. It seems like the maple could easily over power the palate.
I had this brew for the first time this year, check out my review of it! I thought it tasted a lot like a good Quad, and I probably could have been fooled into thinking it was if I didn't know what it was. I really liked this beer, but it's not for everyone. One of my favorite fall seasonals.
@SnobbyBeer I really didnt get any Quad characters at all on this one. I guess maybe mouthfeel wise but I thought overall this was more vibrant then a Quad would be.

I can get the Bruery now and I seen this but all ready had bottles of Black Xantus and BB Santa's little helper. This sounds like another well crafted beer from these guys and hopefully it will still be there when I go back.
I LOVE this beer!!! I've been touting it to everyone--really sad about having to wait a whole year to buy it again.
