  • Bruce Lee is a great game. I have it on C64. Great mix of platforming and fighting game.

  • NIce stuff. I got a C64C in box for Christmas, and it came with a lot of boxed games.

  • My first gaming rig was an Atari 400 and I had a lot of those carts. Jungle hunt and Qix were particular favorites from what I saw. Do you have Super Cobra? That was my all time favourite 400 game.

  • also I still have an old Pentium II 350ghz PC my dad got rid of.

  • I still have my Commodore64, Sega master system, and Atari 2600. I can understand people wanting to get rid of stuff that's outdated or taking up space and not in use. But from the sounds of it, alot of people just don't seem to care for vintage stuff. Which is not a problem, to each his on, but atleast there taking it to a recycle center of some type.

  • Dude, do you still want that commordore 64? Cuz i want one

  • Nice!

  • Great guy, giving you ll this great stuff for free:)

The world, needs more of these kind of ppl...

  • I had exactly that same joystick (but with red buttons) for my (Amstrad built) Sinclair ZX Spectrum +2A. The joystick was labeled as a Sinclair SJS2, so it would appear to be just a fairly standard cheap Far Eastern made joystick that various companies used. And it was absolutely horrible - really cheap feel and very unresponsive ;D

  • Seriously that was awesome. Im also thinking maybe an updated room tour is in order?

  • Damn you got a great haul there! Even a couple games I have been searching for you get for free.

  • Holy shii-oot!

  • I kind of want a macbook g3 just because of such an interesting design.

  • This comment will get thumbs up for no reason.

  • Nice one, some very cool stuff for your collection

  • Someone please tell me how you play video games on cassette tapes XD

  • @icyds Cassette tapes can hold data no different from other magnetic storage or think of how a modem can transfer data as sound waves across a phone line a tape can hold data as sound waves too. Sound is data anyway you look at it. Only problem with tapes is it's linear, not like a disk you have to go through all the data in order and they're REALLY slow to load. Could take several minutes to load a simple little program.

  • @MN12BIRD WOW! If you havnt already could you make a video reviewing one of those cassette tape consoles?

  • @icyds

When your CD\DVD\Blu Ray player plays back sound. The sound is stored on disc as a digital signal. But for the speakers to output the sound, the sound must travel through a chip known as a Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC). The process of getting a game off a cassette and into your computer is a similar process except it uses a Analogue to Digital Converter chip instead.

  • Great Video. I hope to see some of these game carts in action!!

  • Epic haul. Wow. you know the original owner had to be very wealthy; the cost of all this hardware and games all legit not pirated would have been enormous back then. As a kid me and my brothers had various vic 20/ c64 / Amiga and had almost zero point zero retail software, but stacks and stacked of cracked game disks instead.

  • Hold on to those Sierra games!

  • Brilliant to get all that for free and save it from being recycled. Great vid mate.

  • you have the perfect job for your hubby

  • That is totally awesome! I just got my first 800xl recently, My folks were up in Toronto and I had them stop in Toyratt and do some shopping for me! :) If I lived local I would definatly take some of that stuff off of your hands :)

  • Sweet dude, Pole Position alone is worth like 40 bucks!

  • Just think how much great stuff get's thrown out every day by ignorant people :( A few days ago I responded to an ad about an Amiga500 with a lot of accessories and a told me he had thrown it out ;(

  • @MigDetBareMig I don't even want to think about it... I know of so many stories like yours where awesome retro stuff gets tossed with no remorse. Sad days.

  • That is some awsome stuff! The Atari 800XL is my favorite ever system. Can't believe the guy was going to throw it all out

  • Awesome stuff. I thought the box had the Dot Matrix printer in it. I was hoping to see a demonstration. Oh well. That is a hell of a collection of software though. Just fantastic.

  • @MN12BIRD He tells me the same as you alluded to in this video that they destroy perfectly good desktop machines and other computer items! Crazy that amount of money that these companies throw at protection lol. Awesome video Jake!

  • @PompeyGamesRoom What these greedy companies need to do is give the working older computers to poor families that can't effort a computer. This 2005 hp pavilion desktop I'm on was giving to me by somebody from the other side of the US, he got a new PC, and didn't won't the old one anymore. I had to replace some parts on it, but got it up and running smooth.

  • @MN12BIRD Great video bud, do you often get these packages coming into work? Not for you in particular but just dropped off? Amazing what people throw out now days in regards to computers and retro gaming stuff. I know someone who works for a large well known worldwide computer company that updates there computers and software every year.

  • @PompeyGamesRoom Not too often it's usually old computers that are so old they're useless even to me and lots of printers and CRT monitors and TVs rarely is it old video game stuff only a few times so far.

  • You jammy sod! I love seeing pickups like this.

  • Thats going to be fun starting up isnt it? I remember when i fist got an Amiga and i got a river of floppies with it. That was a great couple of days just looking att each game.

  • You have got to be one of the luckiest mofo's I've ever seen lol. Great Pickups! How do you come across so much awesome stuff?!

  • Nice pickup you got there!

  • i bet the track and field controller is worth some bank!

  • All of that looks very nice.

  • wow what a score do you have an extra snes game genie you would sell?

  • have you test it all out yet?

  • Sensory Organ flavoured Michael Cheese!!

  • Jackpot!

  • Nice haul, and the price was right! :) I work in recycling at a community college and people throw out some AWESOME stuff sometimes, nice text books I trade in for $ at the used bookstore, tools, etc.

  • You should make a throne out of old/junk consoles. Then sit in it and gaze upon your treasure!

  • So they threw out the printer?

  • @RetroGamerGuy10 Yep and whoever set the two boxes aside for me didn't notice the printer was also an Atari printer so it got thrown with the rest of the printers.

  • Nice find

  • Dude what a find!

  • Nice man. This guy had quite the collection. Too bad the system doesn't work, at least you got a bunch of free games though.

  • lol merry christmas ! .. haha.. awesome pickup. Do you guys get dibs on stuff at the drop off center ?

  • @Paperclown I can take stuff the odd time as long as I'm not taking stuff ALL the time if you know what I mean.

  • really epic pickup for free even if you cannot get the discs drive working still an amazing collection

  • Do tell if the 800XL works. I've got a spare 800XL motherboard that might have a few good chips on it (2 don't work) if all else fails.

  • What an awesome haul dude ! For free is a double bonus !

  • its not atari related but where did you get your arcade stick ?

  • @emmanu888 That's a cheapo one I got at some discounted store for like 10 bucks. It's nothing great but it works on PC and PS2/PS3 USB.

  • Will you be doing a follow up to this? Cos i would love to see how long it takes a cassette game to load.

  • The Dark Crystal is a hard one to find. Pretty cool!

  • That´s the way how I got my boxed Atari 800 Xl

  • @Luk0872 Never opened

  • very cool:)

  • Very nice, I gotta get into some old school computers. I want an Amiga more than anything though to be honest, but a great haul you got there dude =)

    Dan.

  • Wow what a haul! Congratulations!

  • Drool.. awesome, and free. Daym..!

  • Yep, Qix is pronounced "Kicks". Awesome haul Jake and you can't beat the price. Wow :)

The track and field controller should also work for the 2600 version

  • I cant believe this, in 2009 i started asking all over youtube if anybody knew this (offcourse i didnt knew the name and was providing a very bad description to boot), I asked a ton of ytbers. and nothing today i get my burger and turn on my ytbe to check you made a new video and bam there it is... My older brother used to had one of these but i couldnt find what exactly it was. THANKS man, Cleared a lot of years of searching.

  • Cool, congratz.

  • Your so lucky! I'm gonna have to order some Apple ll and Commodore 64 disks soon!

  • Lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!,

I have been wanting to get into older computers like atari 400/800 or comador 64,

how often do you get old video game stuff at you job?

  • @ZavenNes1718 Not very often. Almost always old computers that are either too old to bother with or missing most of the good stuff. Printers, CRT monitors and TV's too. But very rare to be old video game stuff.

  • Way to go !

  • OMG QIX IS ONE OF THE BEST ARCADE PUZZLERS OF ALL F**KIN TIME

  • You are one lucky guy jake

  • Awesome rare stuff, Jake :P

Some people on this planet is so lucky XD Oh well, good luck finding these people that want your stuff :)

  • hey do you know if there are any atari 2600 games that are worth anything? I picked up star raiders (i think thats what it is) unopend at a movie trading Co for like only $2 LOL

  • Dude, congrats on these! Another awesome haul from your workplace, hehe. Those carts and disk drive are great to have. Can't beat free either way.

  • Wow, that's awesome Jake! Congrats :)
