Dear Sri Varma, I was intrigued by your Vladimir Horowitz reference. I looked up on wikipedia and it says his Grammy in '68 included pieces from Mozart (there's also a note saying he was well known for his presentation of Mozart's pieces). However there is only one recording of Piano Concerto No. 23 made in his last years. Maybe he mentioned that piece in the interview? If you remember the details of the interview I can try to find it. Thank you.
you're right musiquebox, he comes across as a very gregarious person in this interview. much more comfortable answering questions and much less shy as compared to the bbc interview.
the interviewer is also very nice, i feel. i have seen an interview (uploaded by you) on a show called "rkb show" where the interviewer kept interrupting varmaji, and was somewhat irritating.
