You would know that John Crowder is one of the most studied published teachers out there if you were to read his books. His teachings and writings communicate a great value for the Word and for meditation upon that Word. His call is rather to challenge believers to see the Word through a prism of untainted grace.
You can debate/discuss the wisdom/motivation behind why John Crowder preaches the way that he does all day long, however, if you filter through the stuff that bothers you what you'll find is that He preaches Jesus & The Cross. I'd challenge anyone that finds him to be offensive to read his books or at least look up his youtube channel and watch a few of his own videos instead of allowing yourself to be manipulated by those that take him out of context. I found it thoroughly insightful and full of Revelation knowledge and it backed up what I have heard from Joseph Prince, Joyce Meyer and Andrew Wommack. I think I'm pretty orthodox on all the important stuff about the Trinity, the virgin birth, Christ's dieity, bodily resurrection and imminent physicial return, the judgement of the dead, and so on. A person can be wrong about certain points of doctrine and yet if God sees in his heart childlike faith and love, that trumps his doctrinal errors.

Paul says, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." no repentance for salvation. you must also realize that Acts is a continuation of the gospels. the Jews are given one more chance to repent and receive the kingdom promised. once you get out of Acts there is no mention of repentance for salvation to the gentiles.

I absolutely love this idea of really letting the Holy Spirit into your mind and heart, but the idea of "shooting up" God, or "taking a hit" is completely degrading. Paul was talking to believers. John is talking to addicts who are bound by drugs. Before you can repent, you have to have a revelation that He is Good. Unconventional methods of sharing God's word is what He is moving through now because people are actually let God move and decide what happens in a service or in their lives instead of people deciding how their services are supposed to be runned. This is to those who think that Crowder is preaching Christ. Anyone who is a christian can see that something's not right here. From all of the things that I have seen from him, he's only preaching about "ME, ME, ME" and a feel good idea. So far, I haven't heard about the Gospel. He says right here about how people have been saved by buzz evangelism. That's not in God's Holy Word. The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and nowhere is Crowder's claims in the Gospel.

You would know that John Crowder is one of the most studied published teachers out there if you were to read his books. His teachings and writings communicate a great value for the Word and for meditation upon that Word. His call is rather to challenge believers to see the Word through a prism of untainted grace.

You can debate/discuss the wisdom/motivation behind why John Crowder preaches the way that he does all day long, however, if you filter through the stuff that bothers you what you'll find is that He preaches Jesus & The Cross. I'd challenge anyone that finds him to be offensive to read his books or at least look up his youtube channel and watch a few of his own videos instead of allowing yourself to be manipulated by those that take him out of context. I just attended a five hour teaching conference with John Crowder and his teachings of Grace and Paul. I found it thoroughly insightful and full of Revelation knowledge and it backed up what I have heard from Joseph Prince, Joyce Meyer and Andrew Wommack. I think I'm pretty orthodox on all the important stuff about the Trinity, the virgin birth, Christ's dieity, bodily resurrection and imminent physicial return, the judgement of the dead, and so on. But I also know that being "right-on" about that stuff does not impress God. A person can be wrong about certain points of doctrine and yet if God sees in his heart childlike faith and love, that trumps his doctrinal errors.

Paul says, "if you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." no repentance for salvation. you must also realize that Acts is a continuation of the gospels. the Jews are given one more chance to repent and receive the kingdom promised. once you get out of Acts there is no mention of repentance for salvation to the gentiles.

I absolutely love this idea of really letting the Holy Spirit into your mind and heart, but the idea of "shooting up" God, or "taking a hit" is completely degrading. To relate letting God in your heart to drug use is a huge joke. God is not some substance that you can snort and then BAM.. you feel amazing. I do, however, completely agree that more Christians really need to learn to live by the Spirit, but this concept is outrageous.

Paul said that the full gospel included signs and wonders in Romans 15. Also Jesus was accredited to the people by the signs and miracles he performed. I think we should get into the book of Acts a little more. By the way, the other gospel that Paul preached against (the true perversion) was adding the law back into a Christian's life. The word of God says to beware of false prophets and teachers, which is what Crowder is. If you follow him and his sensuality, you will fall into the ditch he is leading you into. The kind of "joy" he promotes has no proper context and is an unnatural affection. It is also contrary to the fruit of the Spirit called self-control. ele, no need for prophets today to compare Crowder to. Everyone must be compared against the apostolic doctrine and practice. Crowder's appeal to the unnatural affection of drug use shows what he is really interested in: sensual good feelings that he controls, which are what drugs are.
Comparing Crowder to Jesus ignores the lack of druggy lingo or other popular street methods used by Jesus. Jesus and the apostles did not act drunk or "wasted" claiming it was God's joy. False comparison.

I read Acts 2. Their diverse speech sounded like gibberish to the mockers. That alone was what made them think they were drunk. Nothing else is stated about the activity of the disciples except their speech. You're reading more into the event so as to justify Crowder's doctrine of "drunken glory."

I have heard people speak gibberish, even children and never one time did I mistake it for being drunk. Just because someone speaks a different language is no reason to believe they are drunk.

Not a different language, but 120 people speaking about 15 languages simultaneously. Mockers came up with their explanation for the combined sound they heard. Plus, when Peter corrected them, he spoke only of their supernatural speech (what they heard) not any drunken behavior (which would have been seen).

Sorry but this has nothing to do with gibberish at all, they saw what looked like men who were drunk and Peter explained to them this was God not alcohol. You are ignoring the obvious and actually insulting hundreds of people who knew how drunks acted.

The only people to claim the 120 were full of new wine were the mockers. So, Peter had to publicly denounce the notion that was made by them so it did not infect the crowd. He needed to explain the event as fulfillment of holy Scripture, not as some fleshly manifestation of drunkenness.

Ele, you're deliberately not following the incident. The mockers are certainly saying it's fleshly if they're saying the 120 are drunk on new wine. Here are the verses. Try not to read more than what is written. "we hear them SPEAKING in our own tongues the wonderful works of God." So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, "Whatever could this mean?"
This what? The unknown Tongues!
The mockers offered an ungodly explanation for it. Peter diffuses it. What is so hard?

No, a Pharisee is legalistic, hyper critical, ignorant of God's heart, look at the other brother of the prodigal son. Ignores the facts people are being helped by Gods power but criticizes the method. Like Saul aka Paul, they believe they are doing God a service by their hate and persecution.
Its easy to see you troll channels on YT that believe in Gods power and play the mocker.
Now that is called discernment.

I am a follower of Jesus Christ a lover of God and his word. I love seeing people come to Christ and walk in his fullness. I love seeing the demon possessed and oppress set free and I love seeing the sick healed by God's power and grace. I could go on but I think you get the point.

Why don't you think I agree with that verse? The Jesus I follow is the same Jesus in the Bible, he loves the lost, he heals the sick and sets demon possessed free and Heb 13:8 says he is still the same Jesus today! He died for my sins and was raised from the dead. He is my Lord and savior and my best friend. I pray for the sick because the Bible tells me to and I cast devils out of people who want help.
If that is another Jesus or Spirit to you, then it isnt the Jesus Paul preached. Gal 3:5

no thats not the jesus john crowder preaches lets not twist my words. again lets not twist my words funny i have to repeat that. anyway i dont how much of john crowders teachings you have listened too, but he does preach a different message. even in this video nothing about repentance or the cross just fleshy lets get high sensations. guess what that high will wear off then what. of course look for the another high or fix. this stuff is alot deeper than people think. i can go on and on IM DONE

Not defending John, actually I have never heard of him. I am defending his right to use un-religious verbiage to communicate God's word. You folks seem to have a struggle with that.
He's not advocating drug, that is a slanderous distortion of what he said. Like I said, Pharisees did the same to Jesus, they called him a glutton, sinner and a drunk. Like they say if the shoe fits.
So tell us about the miracles God does in ur church? Or do you not believe God does that today?

so basically Crowders message is one of "what can I get?" a high, a rush, something that gives me pleasure, I have more power than you, etc.
No mention of God drawing ppl, sin, holy spirit conviction, repentance, counting the cost, asking forgiveness, etc - IOW this IS a different message. thanks for posting
