  • im learning this on drums AND electric guitar!

  • amazing band, fantastic music. hope to catch them in europe this year (again). my band did a tribute shuffle and mule a month ago... just because we love the song and enjoyed playing it best we could :)

  • Outstanding

  • very addictive band when you start to get into the lyrics and stuff

  • Warren Haynes is in my humble opinion The BEST

  • Absolutely clean , mean and ass kicking . Is there a biography of these guys somewhere ?

Thanx for a great video of one hell of a great group .

  • I took some thorazine not so long ago, only knocked me out, no shuffle

  • @zackdannelly thats because its a detox drug, gotta be strung out to get the shuffle, takes about 3 days hahaha not that i know just read it in a book....

  • @wharfratstill oh. Still not better than percocet tho.

  • Great Band!!!! I love Haynes!!!!

  • There is a song that brings it all in light. the light is bright and strong as the music.

  • Amazing ....

  • Love my Mule~````

  • anything you need to do on a bass, you can do with a P-bass - it's perfect & cannot be improved (well, much)

  • Anyone know if this show that they played in Germany is available on DVD?

  • Mule is the greastest band i have ever seen, and they get better each time. They picked up where zeppelin left off. True egoless talent.

  • @g8299 but they added some unnecessary elements like long awful singing

  • look up joe davis band duane allmans guitar

  • One helluva rhythm section.

  • It's a cool song, but they lyrics are basically bullshit, little more than the brainwashed projections of limited experience and intellect.

  • get over your self bitch

  • Basssssssssssssssssssssss

  • Any radio/comm operator in the deutch language is called the "funkmeister" an i think that is the tits-more gut scheisse fromWDRundFUNK!

  • SUPER GROUPES

    SUPERS MUSICIENS

SUPER ROCK Quoi de plus ???

  • This is the first time I have heard this song, or even this band !

I must say I am blown away by the sound of this band and will be seeking out their music.

Keep up the excellent work Boys.

Some posters on here have issues !

Grow up kid's ! Life is too short.

  • u need ur highs and lows.....uh huh...

  • Its best to keep this stuff to your self and your closest friends, cause no one is gonna appreciate it like people who like real music and real players . And we don't want this music being ruined by the media like so many good songs in the past. Your quest for the greatest music ends here!!!!!!!

  • try to type but can only sit and go wow makes you fell good from the inside out

  • 3:56 Satriani on the keyboard !

  • @BigBi90

NO,,,,it is actually Danny Lewis on keyboards, one of the many instruments he plays, and one of the nicest guys on the planet,,

  • @BigBi90 Danny Lewis on keys, dip shit

  • @radioactive1111 Oh... really...

  • @BigBi90 Danny Lewis on keys, dip shit

  • LIKE THE MULE !!!!!!!!! YEEEAAAAHHH

  • omg... OMG!!!! pleasant to the ears, and soothing to the soul.....

  • @bronenalladin Looks like I pushed a button. Sorry I didn't mean it offend your awful taste in music. Yeah your right dude I'm 10yo. I post videos of some douche eating an onion.

  • If you dislike this song you can go listen to lady gaga or some pop music crap. The fact that you can't appreciate the talent these guys bring to the table makes you completely ignorant.

  • @stopgokzoo be quite 10 year old kid and get of the internet

  • @bronenalladin more effective if you could spell "QUIET" and "OFF"

  • @twst1 quiet. off.

  • donny hathaway chords at 6:00.....

  • great tune! killer bass! Is this Andy Hess? Got into the Mule when one of my fav bands, Big Sugar, recorded a tribute to former bassist, Woody - Nashville Grass.

  • Four people ran out of thorazine....

  • @babbchuck either that or they lost the ability to shuffle

  • great post thank you

  • Nice !

  • @Brockashock Why are you watching this video then?

  • ME ACUERDO QUE PARA SALIR DE LA MANIAC dEPRESSIO OR esquiZofrenia te dan THORAZINE. (1982). bBueno estos son partes de Allman Brothers. Gov Mule. Alemania, sure~nos Americanos. Red Necks

  • one of my favorite bands.... i owe it all to xm radio

  • Warren Haynes is in my humble opinion one of the best

  • @nogginthenomad I agree humbly with your humble opinino. The guitar work- exquisite, the vocals-touching.

  • EXTREMELY TIGHT! Matt Abst is absolutely amazing on percussion!!!

  • Pure Tone baby, just sick!

  • i am retarded and i also dislike this song

  • Discovered these guys a while ago. Drummer makes me happy! Just like the rest of the band...

  • schlichtweg großartig!!!

  • bad asses

  • Ahh Warren Haynes and the things he does with that 58 Les Paul

    Yngwie Malmsteen, hehe,

  • All I can say is that I wish I was able to go to one of their shows....

  • rockit4u, sorry to disagree there are many over-rated plsyers out there with an ego to go with it, so in that train of though there are some better that others.

  • The only problem with the Thorazine Shuffle is that it ain't a shuffle--or maybe that's the joke.

  • @kingstumble My thought on that is that it is referring to the way that people who are sedated with Thorazine "shuffle" around.

  • i don't like to compare, talented musicians.....just apreciate!! I would to love to see them in Brazil!!!

  • i don't like to compare, talented musicians.....just apreciate!!

  • love me some mule. seen them several times and hope to see them several more

  • unencumber yourself

  • It always amazes me all the negativity on these threads. I assume that there a lot of musicians as well as funs that come here to the greats and love the music. You would think this place is only visited by rednecks. The name calling and profanity goes against the church of rock n roll. Lighten up every one the Mule is about peace and love.

  • @dakotajoman

I agree with you, but "Redneck" is name calling too.

  • @Curdog Duly noted....apologies sent.

  • For the last 25 or so years , this boy has been as good as anyone on the planet. Completely without an ego, he just goes out every night and kicks the shit out of your ears. (Not to mention he sings with the soul of a man who's lived ten lifetimes...) My hero!!!

  • @obbor4 My hero TOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @obbor4 Well said my friend. I can't see these guys enough. Every night they play is soulfully magical. If this don't touch ya nothin' will.

  • @obbor4 totally agreed awesome musician, amazing guitarist & singer

  • @obbor4 I'm w/ya brother......I just watched him doing Mellissa w/ Greg and D. mathews. He MAKES that song. He's got class.

  • @zdrumdude where can I see that? do tell!!!

  • @Ribbin525 Iv'e got it "favorited" It's out there. Check Dave Mathews w/ G allma n and warren Haynes. I wanna say it was some benefit concert.

  • @obbor4 damn right bro !!!

  • @obbor4 well said!

  • Gimme the T Shuffle, this is superb. not only can Warren play blues , rock , jazz, slide, metal, bluegrass and must I go on, ( no but W does ) what a kick ass LEGEND..seen him live it was supernatural, there are a handful of others but GOD BLESS THE AXEMAN....

  • Freakin' AWESOME!!

  • You cannot get this tune out of your head once you hear it...

  • Get behind the Mule!!!!!!!!!

  • Stubborn rox...funny you very rarely hear anyone talking about Warren Haynes' great vocals...greatest guitarist since Jimi, Jeff...etc. Warren sings!!!

  • The greatest Rock N Roll band today.

  • Okay, while I like what Warren does with Allmans, I haven't been a tremendous fan of Mule... However, THIS song is KILLER! The timing (go ahead and try to count it) and phrasng and tone, and in general the tightness of the whole band gives me a new appreciation of the Mule! Wow! And I can't believe 3 people gave is a thumbs down??? Huh?

  • Got Mule ? I do . Great power idleing in their music. I have seen them live a couple times and warren is a slide expert that seems to never misses a note, what a powerfull tone. Great drummer and keyboard and new bass that replaced the late great alan woody

  • awesome bassline!

  • @fdeeptone

While the whole song is great, that bassline is what really ties it all together and makes it sooooo good!!!

  • This is tome tight ass shit here folks. The Mule will never die

  • Haynes is by far one of the best in the world-EVER!!! Have seen Gov't Mule several times, and blew me away everytime. From a southern rock fan, they break all genre records. They could play "Mary had a little lamb" and blow the crowds mind, and probably have. Best band out there!!! And please, no arguments, or telling me your negative opinion, cause you will just get big F*Ck You in response. Thanks and have a great day. And thank you Gov't Mule!!

  • MALMSTEEN--HAYNES WHY WOULD ANYONE PUT THESE TWO ON THE SAME PAGE. THEIR STYLES ARE TOTALLY DIFERENT, AND BOTH ARE GOOD PLAYERS. IF THOSE THAT PUT DOWN ARE ABOVE THOSE BEING PUT DOWN THEN YOU MIGHT HAVE SOMETHING BUT I DONT SEE ANY ROOBY2UESDAY ALBUMS NO DO I SEE ANY JPBAKER60014 ALBUMS OUT THERE.SO BOTH OF YOU PISS OFF.

  • spot on ! ! keep on playing ! !

  • I didnt think I could love Gov't Mule's music. but damnit if they didn't seep into me and made me love them . What would this be classified as? It reminds me of a mixture of blues, a little country, and old (70 ish) rock. All I know is it's addictive. I can add it to my other song of "beautifully broken" ^^

    -kendra <3

  • Refreshing !

  • 3:52 --makes the hair stand up on my neck!

  • To say someone is superior or better than someone else is ridiculous. It's ALL interpretive and a matter of ones own opinion.Everyone just needs to get off their high horse's and appreciate all talented musicians period!

  • @rockit4u You are so right, thanks for voicing that . Give me Warren or Joe Bonamassa and Im a happy camper.

  • @rockit4u Gov't Mule is better than Jusin Beiber. Ha! Got yah on that one.

  • @rockit4u I totally agree 100% mate.

  • was at Kursaal Limbourg too....defo...best live act in the world

  • Vu cette semaine au kursaal dommage du son en premiere partie mais quelle guitariste et perf de Mat Apps le batteur GEANT

  • I feel indifferent regarding this Malmsteen discussion that seems to be going on. Music is music. Regardless of who you call your "guitar god." For me it's Warren Haynes. For others it might be Jack White for all I know. There's no point in arguing who's best. In the end all that matters is where you feel at home musically and what makes you feel good. Can anyone honestly say that no one's been touched by Malmsteen? I'm no fan of that man but some people are and I respect that.

  • excellent job by the drummer on this song

  • Modern Classic Rock

  • very nice vidoe, thanks for posting it.

  • rooby, you name it. this malmsteen guy is totally superfluous as far as MUSIC is concerned. hes nothing but a vain show off. DISGUSTING! who in their right mind would wanna listen to such self indulgent crap?! HERE we have REAL MUSIC, alas.

  • is it just me or does the drummer kind of look like john malkovich if he had that kind of hair?

  • O my god, simply amazing.

  • I'm not sure if I enjoy the fact the the political statement this song makes is still relevant today, but I definitely enjoy the musicianship!

  • Who are these guys? They are fuckin HOT. This song is soooo coooool. Never heard of this band before; goes to show you how much good stuff is out there. Without YOU Tube may never have heard of these guys. Peace.

  • @drporter2009 I heard of these guys from folks who regularly hit up the jam band festivals.

But it's true the internet makes it easier to find these gems.

  • definitely one of the best songs ever...Warren is da man...and listen to Mat Abts hittin those drums...nobody plays the drums like him!

  • Gov't Mule's coolest sounding song! Spooky with that Robin Trower-esque sound. Great stuff!

  • malmsteen is the most uninspired, boring, idiotic and over rated crap performer I have ever come across. he deserves to be in JAIL for perverting the sense for music, not on a stage. no joke. he and this paul gilbert vanity scum are those who try to destroy popular culture.

  • @buchananstreet word

  • great

    needles to say !!!?

  • MOUNTAIN JAM BROOOOOOOOOOOO im getting there got my ticks today

  • Had the opportunity to the see gov't mule at the Park west in chicago they F'n got down for 3 straight hours!Great Live musicans top ten concerts in 40 years!

  • Jesus; I am going to have to make it Mountain Jam one way or another

  • Oh, yeah just stand back and watch me now!

  • strong beautiful song!!!!!!!!!

  • EPIC

  • i love mule. period.

  • I've asked this on a couple of other of the videos from this show, but does anyone know where or IF it can be purchased as a DVD. I went to the Rockpalast site, but its in German and even the google translater doesn't do a good enough job to find out if it's available for purchase. Can anyone shed some light on this? I know it's not on the mule's merchandise list.

  • @TheChewyWun I don't know about this show, but the Tale of 2 Cities DVD set has a great version of this song on the Chicago show DVD.

  • @TheChewyWun I tried as well, they don't seem to have this for sale at the"Rockpalast" site.

  • Magnífico grupo, un saludo desde España.

  • Awe I love this group awesome music. God Bless You guys and thanks.

  • @ 1:11 chills ran down my spine. That is tone! I'm talkin' "woman tone" times 1000. And what great taste with the subtle vibrato then the perfect envelope filter.

WOW WOW WOW what a great fuckin' band.

  • love this song so much at the moment!

  • Check out the version with woody on bass--- the studio cut--- it just slays.

  • not my fav. genre, but the bass line is pretty cool i guess...

  • Still, FUNKY as you can get! Abts is a giant, but this song still wouldn't go anywhere without Warren! Even so, they think this last album is their best, and I concur!

  • I saw them at the Fox in ATL years back with Derrick Trucks and Chuck Levelle came out and jammed with them....what a show. Dale woody (Bass guitar) was still alive then, so it was a while ago.

  • Allen woody U mean

  • Getcha groove on !

  • Soldano are indeed GREAT amps man!

    one of the best.

  • Nice but in my opinion they didnt need the keys. It kinda churched up the heaviness a little:(

  • Matt Abts on the drums!!!!! Awesome.

Two weeks, to Denver. I can't wait two shows..............Damn.

  • Dude, you are in for it...as you already know. Saw them friday night in Cincy. Frampton played with them in the first and second set! Highlight with PF was Humble Pie's "I don't need no doctor" The Mule was smoking as always! Enjoy.

  • I've heard them play Doctor before and they smoke it, We have two, hopefully, very different shows coming. An evening with: I hope turns out to be an un-bridled show. Thanks.

  • @emlyle what a lucky fucker! I'd give my left nut to see that! I caught Frampton in Montana last summer, he was fucking awesome! have yet to catch a Mule show, but I got to see Warren play with The Allman Brothers, then take the stage with The Dead at the Gorge in George Wa. The Doobies were the opening band.

  • @GaryGreenman I recon you like your right nut better :)

  • Damn, the band is tight. Worrell on the Hammond or what? I can't see too well. But the bassline ROCKS and Warren is a consummate yet unnoticed musician for all his talents. And that's not even the whole band.

  • @4rainbowed Danny Lewis on keys, He's been the permant keyboardist since the Deep end project. His gospil shrills on keys are one of the mainstays of today's Mule's very large presence. Danny, Jorgen, and Andy Hess before him, coupled with the incredible Matt F***** Abts on the drums are a force few if any cna compete with.

  • Warren uses a Hughes and Kettner Rotosphere.

  • this song is sexy, my goodness

  • I would think that the Leslie is for the organ. It's not like effects that make the guitar volume oscillate are alien technology. Whatever he's using, it's got some heft to it.

  • haynes and co. at the wetlands was pure magic. this is really good though.

  • Its not how many notes you play, its what you get out of each note. Id rather hear warren play some real music and make that guitar cry than hear some shitty "shredding" that doesn't even fit the music. I'd bet that ajlucas93 spends most of his time sitting at home trying to beat dragonforce on guitar hero. Why don't you go see some real rock n roll bands play live.

  • that aint a drum solo ,its LEAD drums

  • You know, you're RIGHT! I was focusing on the bass, and --I'm a sucker for the wah wah pedal, but this time, yeah, it was like the "bottom" was leading-- closest thing to that I ever heard was a few concert performances with Keith Moon and his wild drum style when he was on top of his game. I can't get enough of this song!

  • which bassist played on this gig?

  • Andy Hess

  • Guitar is indeed running through a Leslie

  • Agreed!

  • Holeeee shit, this stuff is so awesome.
