for example when Prophet Yousaf got missing [he was young and not even prophet yet] his father Prophet Yaqoob cried so much that the damage to his eyes was permanent even though Yousaf was still alive.

its not right to hurt yourself no matter what and it is stated in the quran that it is haram to do so. no were in the quran does it say that this act is permissible or in any hadith. prophet youseff cried, he didnt harm himself on PURPOSE!!

not all shias so dont be so damn bias, only 3alawiya shias do these kind of things, not the twelvers which is the magority of shias who DO NOT ABUSE THEMSELVES. but a bunch of sunnis use this as propaganda because they know that shias hold the TRUTH
