  • AWESOME!! im actually TRYING to do the bowflex challenge. but its usually just a looong cycle of 1 week of working out & then, 2 weeks of junk food binging. & repeat. haha, the motivations not really there until i look in the mirror. UGH. lol, but anywaysssss... good luck & keep it up!

  • The sixth finger was actually doing bench presses at that time, and was unavailable for counting. Or, wait, the video camera has a lens defect! Yeah, that's it, got nothing to do with public schools or deficient math skills.

  • I just wanted to say to couples out there the bowflex is a great way to spend time together. You can workout together by helping each other change weights out and set the machine etc... And also counting the reps so that your partner doesn't have to count, they can concentrate on the workout. Highly recommend for couples and anyone. I can't say enough good about bowflex and the results you get. Trick is, use it, not look at it.

  • Hey Joseph! Switched to 3 sets at your suggestion. Both my arms fell off. But, thanks to outpatient surgery and Duck Brand(tm) tape, I'm back in business!

    Try doing 3-4 sets for each exercise. I am the same age and bought a elite 3weeks ago and have seen great results. Love to chat and exchange what has worked for you and how you like the Ultimate 2. Joseph

  • Frank is losing weight now because the exercises he is doing is targeting the main muscles for fat burning and when you use these muscles they burn more fat even after he's finishes his routine. These targeted muscles are the key to increase metabolism for even days after a workout. This is why a person who has more fat tends to lose more weight at first because of the fat burning process. Now, there will come a time those numbers may go up instead of down because MUSCLE weighs more than fat

  • I know muscle weighs more than fat so why are you losing weight using this?

  • Part of that must be from the diet I'm following. And part must be from the sheer number of calories I'm burning, too. Keep in mind that I have a lot of fat, and while muscle mass is denser that fat, I think it's probably easier to shed fat than build muscle. Heck, I don't know! I'll do some research and see if I can come up with anything. Thanks for asking!
