I loved their routines..was totally opposite from them politically..They were sort of the Bill Maher of the early 70s, politically speaking...Mom Always Liked You Best my favorite routine. (I still have 6 of their vinyl longplays..Mostly mono, cause I couldn't afford stereo some times.. heehe !

Their funny I love watching old footage from their TV appearance and comedy hour. I'm not defending talentless comedians who only use f*ck and sh*t for shock laughs, but be honest with yourselves and stop trying to bash comedy that uses all of the words. The same ones your dad and uncle use. Their clean comedy from an era where you had to be squeaky clean on television.

The BEST comedy is all about "timing"...not being "shocked" into laughing. These guys are masters!! Jim Gaffigan is another master who knows exactly how to "time" the joke. He doesn't have to use profanity to "shock" us into laughing....good stuff!

Still hilarious!! These guys were indeed controversial but also promoted a lot of IMPORTANT musical groups on their show, including The Who (legendary appearance, search for it here! MUST-SEE), The Doors, Jefferson Airplane and many others. I remember seeing some of these (esp. The Who) when I was a kid, my family always tuned in to their show.  Great comedy duo, so glad to see them alive, well, and still so funny after all these years. :)
