Don't send your money to Haiti! They will always have problems. Haiti was once the jewel of the Caribbean. Then they slaughtered the French and have been a disaster since!
Send your money to needy Americans in the Appalachian community. Charity begins at home!
A true class act among musicians. Tommy you inspire me to be a better person. Your music can make me smile even even when I feel I have nothing to care for. Thank you !!!
A lot of people said they wished they had the money to win and give the guitar back to Tommy. Not me. I'd keep it. It's not the guitar that makes Tommy special, it's Tommy who makes the guitar special! He can make any guitar special. I'll never play like him but at least I can listen to him play. I hope Tommy is born again so I can play with him in heaven. Godspeed.
@crazy650c Why wouldn't yousee him in heaven? The bible says Jesus died for the sin of the WORLD . He is "the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of THE WORLD". (which means everyone- not just those who went to a particular church or participated in whatever ceremony one or the other of us thinks is the proper way it should be done)
Agree with all the poz comments - but why no no pics of the guitars on this clip? I'll check out TE's site - I have a gorgeous Maton 12 acoustic which I will gladly donate - but to give it real value TE is going to have to play it. So if Tommy will accept the guitar - and play it - I'd be proud to contribute in a small way to his wonderful gesture.
What a wonderful gesture by a wonderful human being...just shows the gentle soul and spirit of this talented musician. Wish I could afford to make the highest bid & I'd give the guitar back to the self-less man. God's blessings to you, Tommy!
Oh man! I can only wish I could afford to bid on one of your guitars Tommy. But I'm in college and my darling Husband hasn't worked in more than 18 months and can't seem to find a job in this economy. Just checked the price and the Maton is going for over $12k. :o) oh well... maybe next time I can bid.
I would have loved to have one of Tommy's guitars. *sigh*.... perhaps someday I'll get to meet him... though he never seems to show up in my area. Closest I've seen is a 14 hour drive. LOL
Well done, Tommy. I just happened to be in the market for a new guitar; alas, can't afford to bid on the one that would fit my needs best. But I'm encouraging everyone to spread this message far and wide.
This is as un-selfish as it gets. I hope the person who buys these guitar can afford to give them back. I attended one of his workshops and he is a decent & warm man.
this is the new beginning for human race Tommy is one of them that is why his music sound so real personally i have average guitar i still could not let go sell it an donate it Tommy just put service to others in front of service to self that way should all be if you can put others in front of yourself that means death of EGO may your higher self bless you...
God bless your heart, Tommy. You continue to make the world a better place with your music and generous spirit. Sadly, I don't have nearly enough money to bid, but you have inspired me to make more small contributions. If you can be parted from any of your beloved guitars (especially the Maton, signed by your daughters) then surely I can afford to donate more than I have.
Tommy, Your music is full of heart and soul. Your giving does not surprise me. I would love to have dinner with you.... But I doubt I can afford it. Will try!!!
Tommy, I wish I could buy one. Things are tough. I am so glad to see you taking and stealing the moment. Ive learned about you only on the past few days. I am a guitar player as well. I believe that in the past few days, I have a a "Ah ha!" moment listening to you. Your gift of music has changed my life. Like Chet did for you. I am grateful that there are people in the world like you. The smirk you have on your face when you play is the most wonderful sight. Thank you.
GOD BLESS YOU TOMMY! Can you believe it guys? This man is selling one of his most precious pieces of his heart, to help other people in distress. Tommy Emmanuel CGP, the king of music.
You are great Tommy! I really wish I had the money to make a bid on one of them :( It is a great idea, you are a great person. Wish you lots of health, and many more years of guitar playing!
Although I don't have any money and would love the guitars, especially the Gibson and Maton, I would like to say at this time that you are are a real person and not just one of my favorite guitarists and you care for all the other people in the world; especially those who are experiencing trouble and disaster such as that in Haiti. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time and wish I could help monetarily. The only way I can help is through my prayers and I, also pray for you Tommy.
the person who buys a guitar also gets two free concert tickets, dinner with tommy and a two hour guitar lesson. what a true genleman. good on ya Tommy.
So one of his beloved Maton's was up for grabs? BEST guitar on Australian soil!!!

As you can see....the Haiti relief fund has NOT gotten to Haiti. The Bush/Clinton New World Order has absconded with all the money.

@roneysamify You need to read the rest of the bible, and stop taking things out of context. Not everyone will be saved. It's just that simple.
Think about it, just because someone pays for everyone to go to Disney World doesn't mean everyone WENT to Disnet World. Get it?
