  • can ghost shrimp be fed to fishes??

  • @RAndomJboy of course they are common feeders

  • @RAndomJboy yes my koi love them.

  • is there anything sspecial u have to do with the gohst shrimp to breed?

  • We started our tank with 5 red shrimp and 3 ghost shrimp. and now we have about 20-30 red shrimp and lots of eggs laying about. im soo excited :D i love the breeding process it facinates me :D

  • Hey what kind of plant is that in there? it looks freakin righteous

  • ya i try to breed them but it wasnt working. i dont kno where i went wrong or if i didnt give it much time

  • @TMELT88 did you provide oxygen? It is very essential to ghost shrimp. Put more plants to provide their hiding places.

  • hey man, i have a tank like that and have about 150 ghost hrimp minimum for breeding so i dnt have to keep going to the store to buy them for my pufers and motoro stingrays. do you breed them for feeding?

  • so, just put a bunch together with live plants and they breed ?

  • How many ghost shrimps can fit in a 10 gal tank?

  • Do you need a filter or anything. Is just a tank with water good enough?

  • wow my puffer would be in heaven.

  • @Coruptshun lol!!!!!

  • @Coruptshun Ma green spotted Puffer Eats ghost Shrimp :3

  • do you need a filter for the,??

  • I just have one question about ghost shrimps. Once they have there babies do they die? The reason I'm asking this is because I bought 3 pregnant ghost shrimps and one of them died the next day. When I scooped her up with the fish net where her eggs were it was slashed right in the middle of her abdomen from the bottom. If anyone that can answer me this question I would greatly appreciate it .

  • @skylinegtr81 I don't think its normal. Sounds very strange. Maybe other shrimp tried to eat the corpse, before you saw it.

  • how i keep my ghost shrimp from jumping out of their tank? i have a 10G aquarium planted, pH, amonia and all that are balanced, but i left like 1/2 an inch -space- water line at the top and they jump and get stuck there...i have to watch them every 10 minutes or so...anyone got an idea on how to stop them?

  • if you have fishes,,,like goldfish, tetra.barb and other type of fishes. they like to nibble on ghost shrimp making them scare forcing them to jump out of thier tank. I mean come on face it fish love shrimp!!. guppy live pretty well with ghost shrimp.

  • @mctravish107 *hmmm* i DID have 'em in a goldfish tank, for a couple of days, then they started jumping out after the 3rd or so, no wonder...lol...i now have some shrimp in another planted aquarium with a pleco, and they seem just fine, haven't seen any of them stuck dried up on the side, thanx!

  • pllleeeaase tell me how to breed these guys! is ther a webpage i can go to to learn?

  • you just throw a bunch of them in an established, filtered tank and they do it on there own

  • @Koreanlion7 i just buy arround 30 shrimps, throw them in a planted tank, couple months later, you will see shrimps with eggs, just scoop them up and place in a separate tanks, in my case, a chocolate box, you will see my set up in my video, when they hatch after 3 weeks depend on the temps of water, they are just so so tiny, you hardly see them..just type hippo228, only have one video just now, hope it help...

  • fish will eat the nalupy or whatever they are called, and so will the other shrimp. your supposed to tranfer them into a smaller tank, and feed them crushed up flake food.

    they filter feed!!!

  • dude the eggs are hatching what do i do please help quick how do you take care of them will the other fish eat them
