Hold the bus. I thought Obama's health care reform was supposed to provide full health care coverage to all Americans, which would include 9/11 responders. If so, why are Democrats now pushing for special health care coverage (at a projected cost of 11 billion taxpayer dollars) for those individuals alone? Are those people going to receive health care beyond others? If so, Obama's health care reform is not really full coverage for all Americans.

oh and, btw, elected to 4 terms and by the time he left office the economy was in great shape. admittedly this had a lot to do with ww2, however with the policies of the new deal in place we experienced 50 years of the greatest prosperity in the nation's history, in contrast to the frequent boom and bust periods that preceeded it. during the 50s, we even raised the tax rate on wealthy people to around 90%, while simultaneously experiencing enormous growth.

@forzapack it's called the great depression. fdr took office as a result of the great depression, he did not cause it. the new deal is the only reason we developed a robust service economy in the 1950s. higher wages (much of which was in the public sector), lead to more spending, lead to more jobs. beginning in the reagan years, lower wages, as a result of tremendously anti-union and anti-public sector attitudes has weakened the spending power of normal people and killed the economy.

We also have a PBS (medicine and pharmaceuticals) scheme so low income people don't pay much for medicine . It is immoral and barbaric that people cannot access health care . My daughter recently dislocated her knee as i use public health I could not be happier with the fantasic free healthcare

Hold the bus. I thought Obama's health care reform was supposed to provide full health care coverage to all Americans, which would include 9/11 responders. If so, why are Democrats now pushing for special health care coverage (at a projected cost of 11 billion taxpayer dollars) for those individuals alone? Are those people going to receive health care beyond others? If so, Obama's health care reform is not really full coverage for all Americans.
