? this game is breathtaking on my Radeon HD 6850 and Core i5 2500 "Sandy Bridge" i play in 1920x1080 res with maxxed AA and AF on a 24" screen and i get absolutely no lag. Not to mention there's a massive update/add on pack coming out next month. this game is far from dead

I like taking games and putting them on the lowest setting and then the highest setting for comparison.

Looks as though your graphics card is taking a beating. I'd buy this game if it wasnt for the fact that so many people slate its lack of variety. 6/10 are the general reviews so its abit...hmm... A shame because I utterly heart star trek.

@lozzyloveyou Ya the slow down is due to that! It's only Max settings during the space action!. I hit Rear Admiral like a month ago. Since then their is no reason to play!

@lozzyloveyou Yeah, it's not a horrible game. I mean, it's no worse than WoW in my opinion. Better, actually, because it's a pretty fresh environment for an RPG. But they really missed an opportunity to do something great. It's a little different than the rest of the pack, but not by much. It's still far too formulaic. Had they gone more in the direction of Guild Wars 2, well... that could have been great.

do you ever get any other weapons other than phasers? Those look boring. Just wondering =) I may give this game a try. Sick of Fantasy!

THere are pretty much 2 types Phaser pistols and rifles. Klingons have Bat leths. Then you can use extra items like mines, and phaser turrets.

Hmm... seems kinda boring, I hope they put a more assorted variety of weapons in the game. I wouldn't mind using a good futuristic flamethrower! hehe

I don't mine rocks son. I kill people ingame. Mining is something I may do once in a great while and its nice to make good money, but the essence of Eve is PVP. Its a great game always will be.
