  • Hello,

I'm sorry I do not speak English very well: I am French. I wish I know the title of the song presented in this video please. Thanks!

  • This is a tap dance choreographed to represent Irish step dancing. No one said this is an Irish dancing school. The dance was done by tap dancers not Irish dancers. Originally for a recital theme Around the World and was meant to represent Ireland. The audience liked it so much the school decided to repeat it year after year. These dancers dance 1 hour/week and do very well. People who need to be so negative with there comments are just mean. This is for fun & health not Irish competition.

  • @mrstappingtoes

But it doesnt represent Irish step dancing ,it's making a mockery of Irish Step Dancing .the video clip is embarressing in the extreme and those involved should not try to copy or try to represent irish step dancing .People who are not familar with irish step dancing will look at this "performance",will think this is Irish step .It's misguided ,wrong and even the owner of the clip is even saying "the style of dance is riverdance"...!!??

  • Who's the big mouth????God!!! How annoying!!!

  • these irish classic/traditional soundtracks are so awsome !!! makes me wish I was Irish

  • next time, dont zoom, it cuts the sound :( why we dont know. lol good dancing though!! :)

  • You Guys Really are awesome ! :) It took me ages to get my Trebles to Look as good as they do now ( I'd Like to think theyre pertty good heheh ) I have to agree With @julietbravo69 on this one :) But Keep Up The Good Work ^.^

  • These dancers are all so talented! What a splendid performance. :)

  • Okay, you guys need to understand that Irish Step Dance is its own very unique style of dance. Please don't make a mockery of it by trying to mimic it when you clearly aren't trained in Irish Dance. You are obviously very good tap dancers or cloggers, but not Irish Dancers. By the way, it isn't Riverdance, it's IRISH DANCE!

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Um may have seemed like a good idea. I'm sure your all great at anther type of dance. But you the Irish Dance it totally wrong and off. Stick to what you know.

  • ahh tat looks lik tap danceing not river dance .... and tats not riverdance music...

  • I think it was very good for their age & experience. I'm an irish dancer & although you can tell a lot of them aren't irish dancers in the group they were very good they tried their best They were in time with the music, they knew the coreogrophy, they knew what taps/trebles to make, they are dancers by nature & didn't mess up. It doesn't matter if you are an irish dancer dancer, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap...every genre influences another & every style can bring something to the other! I

  • its not riverdance its irish dance plz say it right i dont like michael flatly sry :P

  • that icool.

  • So many opinions..!! For my part, It looks like it was fun and the audience enjoyed it. The fact that these young people were involved at all should be cause for celebration.

Well done and good luck for whatever you choose to do..:))

  • The reason it doesn't quite work is the riverdance, was a show made using irish step dancing, not tap dancing. The moves and steps are different from tap but its still looks kind if ok.

  • Where is this?? I love all the irish things, and the irish dance its so good really good iam from Mexico i hope see this dande but soon please jiji

  • плохое качество(

  • tap dancers should not do irish dance if they don't know how. dancing with feet out to the side arms all over the place. looks so sloppy...beats are good i suppose though

  • I dont think this music comes from Riverdance, it's actually from Michael Flatley's Lord of the Dance.

  • I agree with julietbravo69! Good effort, though! =)

  • Dancers in the back were doing strange moves, then I could see they were standing on their toes like ballet dancers and were not doing Irish dancing. Hey if they enjoyed themselves and the audience did, this is great.

  • what is this supposed to be ? looks like irish dancing until the dancers start and then resembles line dancing more than irish . sorry but that was bad!

  • It's probably an easier version of riverdance.

  • Seriously...people who come from tap and try to impersonate Irish dancers always look like they're drunk, swaying from side to side like that. it makes me seasick...

  • ive been dancing for 11 years and im 14

  • kids are good. The person holding the camera sucks!

  • what was the dance school that these people went to.If it is Langlois Racine Dance school.I dance there too and i was in the recidal that this tape was in.

  • and i know mario and emily

  • good job!!! i cant hate on kids who try!!!

  • your school actually calls it the "riverdance class"???? unvelievable...

  • ...you give irish dancing, as you would say 'riverdancing', a bad name. if you want to learn how to irish dance go find an actual dance school and a professional teacher.

  • you know there are differnt kinds of river dancing

  • you only call it river dancing because there was an irish dance show called riverdance. there's a whole actual organization out there...there aren't different kinds of "river dancing" because river dancing isn't actually a type of dance. search "nans parade of champions" and see what you find. thats what youre attempting to immitate.

  • I guess it's quite good especially if it's not a proper irish dance school, but you need to keep your legs crossed and your feet turned out more! There's a bit towards the middle/ end where the two principle dancers are almost toally dancing straight and only crossing when they switch front leg!

I think it's mean to react to Julietbravo69 like that...everything she said is true! even I can see that she's right about their trebles looking like tap backshuffles and I'm nowhere near as experienced

  • I appreciate your enthusiasm, but please don't call it "riverdancing" *cringe*

  • A good effort guys but you dance too much like tap dancers... your trebles look too much like a back shuffle in tap... makes you look like waddling penguins!! lol

  • Oh sorry clever clogs... didn't realise you are a principal irish dance choreographer too? Perhaps you'd like to come and give me a few hints.... obviously 20 years Irish Dance experience counts for nothing? AND there is a difference between constructive critisism (my post) and rudeness (your post), so maybe you shouldn't say anything??!!

  • @julietbravo69 HAHA! Before I read what you wrote I thought to myself...omw they look like waddling ducks! lol

  • Oye, one does not "Riverdance". One Irish dances and then can go on and dance in the show called Riverdance. You've got yourself off to a great start, it takes a lot to dance for that long. My only recommendation would be to find a certified Irish dance teacher if you are interested in dancing properly, not from a general dance studio...especially one that calls it "Riverdancing".

  • yes, it's not riverdance, but the song they used are supposedly from riverdance as mentioned by sunshinehighway6. In actual fact, the music's from lord of the dance:cry of the celt. Lots of people like to mix up riverdance and lord of the dance.

  • thats self taught from celtic feet!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • I meant the style of dance is riverdance, its cry of the celts i think...

  • @sunshinehighway6 The style is not called "Riverdance", what this video is showing is a routine in the style of Irish step dance with the music that happens to be from the "Riverdance" show. There is a huge difference: "Riverdance" is only the name of a dance show that features Irish step dancing. Irish step dancing is the traditional form of dance from Ireland.

  • @sunshinehighway6 the style of this dance represents diceplen and my bad spelling lol. but back to the point, working together to make the sounds come out, one can mess up but it would take a super ear to hear it

  • I don't mean any disrespect. But this music is from Lord of the Dance, not Riverdance.

  • awsome! i got couple of questions though, what kind of hardshoes do you wear, who's your TCRG, and do you get to compete in the world championships in ireland? i wanna to learn irish dance so much lol

  • Well, to get ready my class is going through speed training in the summer to prepare for the regular classes in that fall that go until late may, early june, because there are some new people and some people that are just staying up to speed with everything.

  • Cool! What do you mean get ready for Riverdance though?
