holy shit, this is fucking awesome. I mean, I don't listen to much black metal, but I usually find that the guitar and drums are too little for the song. A lot of obscure bands sound like there's an intro to the song, were you hear the main guitar riff, but quietly (eg when the main riff starts in creeping death) except thats the whole song. This band's music just seems more... complete.
You should retrieve your words."World Funeral" is the highlight of their career.And if you want raw production,stick with the early Darkthrone,Gorgoroth and stuff like that.
Well the production does play a large part as far as sound quality goes.The first 3 albums having been recorded at Sunlight Studios while everything after that was recorded at Abyss Studios.Those albums seem to all have the same production and sound quality thereby making it sound flat and too digital for their own good.
