Actually, its US alone, not SU responsible for division. SU was just gonna come down after invading manchuria and letting koreans decide for themselves, and US were due to arrive much later in korea because of Okinawa. But Truman called the russians and drew up the 38th parallel and tried to make the south part of American military rule just like japan, although korea was not responsible for WW2.

If I could i would abolish North Korea and unite the two and clean the place p and keep South Korea's rules and what-not, God bless those souls trapped in N.
